Palace lost at home to Bournemouth yesterday: Roy Hodgson is going to make this one difficult. 1:3 my prediction.
much depends on the state of salah. another must win game the block is now on 7/12 and that'll scrape 4th. get 10/12 with City away in the block and we can feel good.

It's gonna be another game against a low block. These are the games where we really miss Firmino imo because Gakpo just isn't Firmino, and although Nunez's link up play is improving, neither is he
Yeah but Nunez is like a human hand grenade, he really unsettles defenders and pulls them all over the place. His finishing leaves a lot to be desired but so does Salahs
Palace - hot topic on TalkSPORT so that’s another to add All must win games Draw/Loss would be a disaster imho the way things are currently
It wouldn't be good obviously, but I wouldn't call it a disaster in respect of the entire season. I expect Arsenal to stutter again as the season wears on. We and City always finish strongly, and our unsuccessful ones have been down to having too much ground to make up at the end. At the moment we're in a decent position, and if we can maintain the current level I expect it to be between us and City at the end. I said yesterday that their 3 point haul from 4 games would be season over for anyone else - but not them.
I think frustration with him fluffing chances blinds people to the value Nunez brings. Things happen when he's on the pitch. If he could improve his finishing he'd be a monster.
he's a goal scorers. you cannot fluff chances like he does. put that into context. go do that in a qf of the cl and you won't be getting another chance in the game. if we want 4th and nothing else nunez might be alright but to compete for the highest prizes again we cannot go missing sitter after sitter.
it's not one dimensional. a number 9 cannot make up for missing chances by lashing round and throwing himself into challenges. he's playing sheff utd and misses a ****ing sitter for 2-0. we are under pressure. he goes and gets it late on. ****s up again then throws himself in to win the ball and corsses so he is a hero again. Great fella. Great effort, great fun times but comes the day when we need the win and he misses the one chance that falls then what? as I said we are on a run of bang average lower half prem clubs we need to win against. he's been fairly poor in general play and missing chances v Fulham then comes on v sheff utd and misses another amd I'm not just picking on him. salah has been tosh too. I said the same about mane, 4 chances to score 1. you have to create a lot of chances to get the results that way.
The finishing, as annoying as it is, doesn't actually bother me that much, as he will have games like Newcastle to compensate But he's struggled in pretty much all our games against a low block, especially when starting.
On a positive note, his stats are much improved on his first season (which I thought was decent enough anyway)
Darwin doesn't replace Mane, Firmino, or Salah. He's neither as good as them nor play the same role any of them did. That said he does stretch defence and help others get goals. We look more exciting when he's on the field. I think he's good and brings something to the team. We overpaid, and I think we could have brought someone better in, but I'm not totally dissatisfied with Darwin, he plays a role and I enjoy watching the team more when he is on. (Although, I do feel he is Ill disciplined and will probably get a red card before long).
I think he's a nice lad and won't be red carded any time soon ut yes it's a different emphasis but we were due a different emphasis as firmino was firmino but the systme was figured out and had to evolve. we do not play to nunez key strengths aerially but most of all we don't have true speed on either flank now. salah is now bang average pace and diaz is not mane in his prime. you can't play with a no 9 dropping deep and two running beyond if they are not quick. we are getting goals by moving the ball well. we are creating plenty of chances. the issue is we are not taking them enough to dominate. 4 draws are Luton, Brighton, Chelsea and City. City have lost other games but we were delighted to scrape out of there with the draw and nunez was almost non existent in thst game. chelsea was a half baked team, nobody minds that. Brighton we led, missed chances then conceded. Luton was a shambles and lucky/brave to scrape the point out of a shambles. we are doing well but the standard has to be raised to get what this new group might be able to get. the bigger challenges will come along and you need to take that big chance.
You said very similar when we drew 3-3 at Bournemouth ? lost title by a point I know i am pessimistic I just feel these games are a lot more important than everyone gives them credit for Ultimately we are all on the same side - we just deal differently
