away to walsall, will town put out their reserves, bearing in mind gills away, can we afford another cup run
My first away game this. Walsall have made a decent start as well(certainly far better under Smith than Hutchings) and it'll be a tough game. Jacobson ruled out, SCS taking his place and Hazell in to cover. COYS
There might be a few changes. Richards, Taylor, Leslie, Goldson could all be in for a start methinks. With Gills and Arse coming up it might be a chance to give some players a chance. Shame Bradders and Collins are away, although Collins is only on reserve list.
Missing my first away game so far due to a bowls match! can't make Gillingham either due to a wedding party. Think one or two will be rested for this but still think we can get a draw. Collins has now been called up and left to join the Ireland squad and Bradders joining the Welsh on Wednesday leaving us a bit light up front. As Mat says above maybe a chance for others to show what they can do. According to npower league 2 rumours we are interested in loaning Man U youngster Will Keane ? he is a striker , maybe cover for while out two young ones are away?
Surely Bradshaw plays if he joins up with Wales tomorrow? Better for us and Wales if he does as he hasn't had a competitive game yet. Expecting him and Gornell up front. Hopefully Taylor's recovered enough to get a game, plus the others currently on the fringe - Neal, Goldson, Richards, Leslie. Would expect Male and Woods to make the bench too. Always hope we win any game but, if we go out, I'll have got over it a couple of minutes later.
no i think graham is looking after his internationals, tom was not playing or on the bench last saturday, i suspect we shall not see him play until after the gills game
I think Turner's more concerned with Town than Wales - he always seems to point out that players being called up is double edged. I'll be astonished if Bradshaw doesn't play tonight.
you may be right, but our friends across the border in cardiff may not be overimpressed. i would like to see bradders get a hat trick at the emirates.
Much like most on here predicted, then. Not bothered about losing, the Carling Cup is more lucrative and better for the club's reputation, and the league is still the main thing.
I went(we had a superb travelling contingent) and we were below par. Richards was poor, and Leslie(surely reached the end of the line now) Neal didn't reassure in goal(could have stopped the first with better positioning) Hazell had a few hairy moments. Not too miffed though. Only JPT
