Twice yesterday, in mid-afternoon and yesterday evening, all I got when I tried to get on this site was page unavailable. It was particularly annoying in the evening from 8.00 onwards and by 10.00 I gave up. I thought this problem had been dealt with after the fiasco of deadline day but it seems even with less people online there is still a problem on here.
Like i said yesterday its not the BBC, with a server farm in London and 100`s of staff to look afer it. Its 1 man in the UK with 2 servers in Germany running this, its not like he can look after them 24/7 and they wont be managed servers, so the hosts will have very little to do with them, yes they will help if he asks, but they wont monitor them 24/7. I think ppl just need to relax when it goes tits up, because it will, its no google/yahoo/BBC/CNN which are up 99.9% of the time.
my wife thinks its great when the site goes down means i can get on with the all important stuff she finds me to do
Respect to the guys who run this site - free, no ads, self regulating, the mobile app outstanding and also free, very rarely offline. Only improvements - remove the mobile app - it makes me spend too much time on here! And get rid of General Chat - very rarely look at it now, but still makes me feel sick when I do - too many real twats/amateur shock jocks on there. For those of you upset with missing a couple of hours - seek treatment, you have an addiction. I have taken the first step by admitting it......
