'Assem Allam clarification

HULL: In an article headlined "Authority's £10,000 squash sponsorship", which appeared in the Mail on March 18, it was stated "it appears Hull City Council and Hull City owner Assem Allam are building new bridges over the latter's love of squash".

Mr Allam has asked us to point out that this is not the case. The council's contribution was confirmed after they were asked to come on board and support it by organisers, the England Squash and Racketball Association, and not by Mr Allam himself.

We are happy to clarify this point."

Yes, just do it anyway. Allam will be gone by then anyway, I think 10th April is his deadline.

 

Well that will be the last time it will be held here then, if Allam stays, the Association will be persona non grata for working with the enemy.
