Ever since they changed it a year or so ago my opinion of it is........total crap.....I spend as little time as possible looking at it.

I generally find that it is often the last site to bring to your notice Argyle info....it takes forever to load and I find that there is comments about a long script that is slowing it down....which I try to bypass.......why is it so poor.

This morning I bought my Wimbledon ticket for the first game of the season.....through the Wimbledon site.

The Wimbledon game was a mid-week game last season.....I didn't go.......but the previous two years the game was on a Saturday ....so I bought a ticket both times through Wimbledon.

Today Wimbledon had put tickets for the game online......and they e-mailed within the hour......so I bought one.

There is a chance that Mrs Plym and my fair self .......could be in Plimoth for the Bristol Rovers game.....so I checked the Website..... and found no tickets for sale for anything.....let alone football......maybe I should check Rovers website.....they might be selling tickets by now.

Why is it so bad to look at and use.....it makes you think that Wimbledon care more about your needs than ever PAFC do.

Dag & Red are the same....I've bought tickets through their website.....they keep me informed all the time regarding what's going on.

I did contact PAFC a few years back to be on a their e-mail list......but after a few weeks it stopped happening.......Wimbledon & Dag & Red obviously value your custom.....both are poorly attended and try to get you back again.....PAFC seem to be apathetic about inquiries their attitude might change if they dropped down to 3 or 4,000 supporters for home games.

I did contact them awhile ago about a token membership (say £25) for exiles that would not ever go to a home game.....but would like to be updated regarding Argyle news and match day info.....but they couldn't help me.....I'm sure I heard someone yawning in the background.....or so it seemed.

Plym, we won't be able to even pick up our season tickets until the end of this month minimum so how you expect tickets for a match after that to be on sale god only knows. The reason last time was printing the fixture list. My son is in printing and says he could have those lists printed within a week of them coming out, packed and ready to go on the same day for probably half the cost. Argyle take more than a month. For such a successful businessman his organisation is a shambles. Why on earth would you expect his club's website to be any better. Then again he is supposed to have professionals to do this sort of thing for him who actually get paid to do it.

It is a shambles, like a lot of companies. All that sort of thing can be done in a few days.. I can't be dealing with companies who drag things out. We deal with companies that get things done.. who want to earn money.. Brent is still in the dark ages. Probably still sends telegrams!

To be honest I've no idea. The last one I sent was in 1978 from Gibraltar to both sets of Grannies when my youngest was born. It was either that or a pidgeon,

There are a number of things to be considered:

    1. Argyle did threaten to put prices up if promoted, that may have delayed things
    2. Are there going to be season tickets in the old grandstand for 15/16?
    3. I think you'll find all the Football League websites are hosted by a single provider. The content is the club's responsibility but the layout and the performance are not
    4. Similarly, the ticket purchasing facility is outsourced to TicketMaster. Again, the content is the clubs but the the performance is not their's to control
    5. What I will say is that if you have to phone the box office, you won't find a friendlier or more helpful bunch - and I hate phonelines.

Just think that's another appology for the club with respect notdistant. They have known since the beginning of May they were not going up. They have had several months to produce 4000 season tickets at most and I doubt it is that many anyway. A child with a pair of sissors and some sticky backed plastic could have done it by now. This club is run on the cheap and the organisation shows. What does the Chief Exec get paid for?

As I mentioned above.....Mrs Plym and myself could be down for the Bristol Rovers game for a long weekend......they are now advertising the game......so I looked into buying two tickets on the web.....only to find out that I "dont have the right priveleges"....looking further into this I find that I need to be a member at this time to buy a ticket......bleaging hell I only want two tickets for one visit.......they surely don't expect me to spend £100 or so for membership. Tickets only go on general sale on 28th July for us peasants.

Every other club I've bought tickets from just sell you the tickets there and then.....none of this red tape stuff......why all these rules.....I know the Rovers game is one of their bigger home games....but the ruling is the same whoever they are playing, so I'll have to wait until then.....so no train or BB bookings until then.

I think I read somewhere that Home Park is on average only 47% full......I wonder why.

Notwithstanding my comments above, I've just bought 3 tickets for the Gillingam game.

I can't make the first couple of league games due to a royal visit from the outlaws so this was at least a chance to see the new signings in their first appearance at Home Park. Fair enough, the tickets are cheap due it being a Tuesday night League Cup game so I can't complain about the PAFC part of the transaction but I've then been stung for £4.05 for the priviledge of conducting the whole transaction myself via the internet and paying by card, untouched by human hand, and a further £0.60 so that I can print the tickets myself. Had I troubled the box office staff, collection would have been free! What a rip-off by TicketMaster.

Disappointing isn't it notDistant.......I have no trouble getting tickets for Wimbledon or Dag & Red from their ticket offices with a minimal charge....Wimbledon posted tomorrows ticket without any postage charge being added.....less than 5minutes for the transaction.

But trying to get tickets for the Bristol Rovers game is like trying to smuggle the crown jewels out of the Tower of London......members only for weeks.....being an exile I am not able to purchase tickets for only one game .......I have to wait until the match is very near.....then they put tickets on general sale......we where coming down for a long weekend so I need to book accomodation as well.....but i will not do that until I have tickets......which means I miss out on early bookings.

I have e-mailed the ticket office twice to get some idea when general sale tickets will be available.....result no reply at all.....I bet they lose quite a few sales with that attitude...........I read recently that over a season Home Park is only something like 47% full.........not surprised.

I hadn't noticed that's how it works. I suppose it's to give the half-season members so they can select the matches they want before tickets go on general sale.

"I can't make the first couple of league games due to........"

Call yourself a supporter notdistant? It's a couple of hours is all. Tell the bleddy outlaws to sod off and find something else to do. Failing that why can't they go to Argyle as part of their visit to the country folk.
