Just saw a video of him on Youtube scoring for Barnsley, Usual Paddy genius, slaloming through the defence, beating everyone at will(see below). I'm going to be honest here, he was so far off the first team radar at Celtic I didn't even know he was gone. I was chatting to his brother in law the day before he scored that goal. Said he had been out drinking with him the previous weekend. Would he play like that if he wiznae like that? An enigma.
He didn't smoke ***s before he joined Celtic, unfortunately maybe, he wasn't the only Celtic player to drink . I think he wasn't a full time professional until his mid twenties and never got himself to the level of fitness required . However he should have been given more game time at Celtic . He was out of contract last summer and was allowed to negotiate a new deal wherever. He eventually got a deal with Barnsley .
