Brad Jones was signed as back-up in other words in case of an emergency.Liverpool always had keepers like that,Steve Orgrizovic,Bob Boulder,Mike Hooper,Tony Warner,Pegguy Arphexad. The last time I saw Liverpool use 3 keepers in the same season was 2005,when Scott Carson,Chris Kirkland and Jerzy Dudek all appeared in the champions league.Jerzy was of course number one.And Scott Carson got a medal for being on the bench as sub keeper.He also got a FA Cup medal in 2006 for again being sub keeper. Scott Carson also joins the list of ex Leeds players to have won european cup medals.This includes Harry Kewell,.Rio Ferdinand and Denis Irwin.Denis Irwin is the odd one out as he was rejected by Leeds.
