Dani Pacheco has all but confirmed he is leaving in January. He tweeted today: @dani37pacheco: Last game of reserve league till January. Then see what happen in January. Everyone knows it. He is most likely implying that everyone knows he will leave. This came after a tweet about a "last game" before clarifying "of the reserve league". It's a shame really but as long as there is a spot on the away plane for Joe Cole and Stewart Downing no matter what, he's never going to make it here. Given his performances all season in the reserve league we are letting go of an exciting player. Although everyone will be quick to point out "he never played therefore he is bad", Adam Morgan is certainly going to be disappointed. Pacheco has assisted or set up most of Morgan's goals this season, leading to the question, why hasn't he ever got a chance? What did Rafa see in him that Roy, Kenny and Brendan didn't? Looks like we'll never know. Good luck in the future lad.
Good luck to the lad but if Rafa rates him so highly I'm sure he'll be scrambling to take him to Chelsea in Jan (somehow I doubt he will really). He'll carve out a decent enough career somewhere but every time he's had a chance at senior level he's failed to impress. You can use the "he hasn't had a run of games" excuse but then so could Joke Hole. If any manager was going to give him a chance it would have been BR this season. The fact that he can't even force his way into this team tells you all you need to know.
Shame for Dani, never got his chance " while he was hot", which needs to happen for young players.Cant believe both Woy and Kenny both consistantly played Ngog ( who was absolute ****e) with Dirk up top. When they should have been playin Dirk and Dani, cant help feelin if Rafa had kept his job, Dani would be a 1st team regular now I feel it is inevitable he will leave in January, probably on a free to a team in the bottom half of La Liga
Never really seen anything in him that confirms the promise and ability people say he has. Not given his chance, maybe, but then suso, sterling and co have been, so something else must be the problem.
The season both Kenny and Woy were manager, Ngog played more than 2000 1st team mins (less than 12 months older than Dani and ALWAYS LATE for training), Dani played less that 200.That statistic should have been the other way around. And with Ngog havin the touch of a rap*st, shows how clueless and past it Kenny and Woy were
Dani has crested a ridiculous number of assists in the reserve team and has chipped in with goals has well. he has worked on defensive game and is always positioned well. When he has been used in the first team it used to be the case he was used with just other second string players around him and this season he has been used out of position as a solo striker. The lad is a talent, is extremely popular with all who have me thim and is a popular member of the squad. Would always rather see him in there over Cole or Downing, but will not begrudge him the opportunity to make it some where else. Be sorry to see you leave Dani, but all the best for the future
1. no such thing as his chance. its all about forcing your way in. he played lots of occasions and never actually shone on any of them really. 2. he's not got the pace has he? lets be frank this is what makes him just one more decent player like nemth and others and not a spectacualr talent that can't be ignored. 3. he's way too found of the old tweets and he needs to learn that won't engineer any chances for him. 4. he'd got plenty of loans out and frankly he's never set the world alight anywhere. so the thing is he was coming back cos he had contract left and nowhere to go so what he's done in the reserves is good stuff but it is only reserves. 5. I would have liked him to develop but i think one point here is he's the firs tof the "internet sensations" for us and i think he did get carried away with the whole attnetion where fans were hanging on his every move and the lfc website pushed him hard..... at least the next set like sterling and suso while making errors in this media scenairo are working hard in the real world and didn't rest on laurels..... I think coady is one who has fallen in this trap now. can he pull it round? I'd agree somewhat about pacheco over downing... the thing about cole is he wants the ball and doesn't hide, he can run or anything but he wants to be on the ball... no comparision on wages.. I would think all three to go if we could. the snerior ones are millstones round our necks.
Hopes were so high for Pacheco, but he has now seen four first team managers come in. He was given little game time by all of these, which suggests he didnt proov himself in training well enough. When he was given games, he never quite made the mark he needed to make. It would be great to see him make it at Liverpool, but he is 21 now and he should be playing regular first team games. I wouldnt want him to waist his whole career waiting to break through at LFC. If he is leaving, I wish him all the best for the future.
This is the new transfer policy.. he'll be allowed to leave on a free, join Scunthorpe, play well and we'll buy him back for 10M.. which won't be that bad because we'll have inserted a 15% sell-on clause...
I would disagree with that a bit. When he was with us (Norwich) he looked handy. I know what your gonna say.....that it's not difficult to look good in our team, however the league table doesn't lie. But he really has something and I would take him back in a heart beat. Fingers crossed we put in for him.
Hold on. I don't remember Rafa pushing Pacheco into the first team whenever Torres got injured. I remember seeing too much of Ngog though. So by your logic you can add Rafa to the list alongside Kenny and Woy then. He might have brought us Torres but his biggest failure was thinking he could cope with Torres alone. A big chunk of our current striker issues can be traced back right through our previous 4 managers. Pacheco is ok but that's all he is. Rafa wouldn't have used him anymore than Kenny or Woy.
Its not a question of looking good in your team its a question of him looking "not bad/handy" in a lower league. He should have been flying when he played for Norwich but instead he was simply "handy". Some people seem to think he's a little magician but he really has never shown anything like that for me (maybe Paul Daniels but certainly not Houdini). He's certainly not a bad player but just as an example he's older than Suso and way behind him in terms of ability. You wanna swap Dani for little Wes? Good luck for the rest of the season btw I like CH and think he'll do well for you.
nah i'd not say that.... i would have said for norwich he started a few then went on the bench for you too the play offs you backed your own guys.. championhsip again is hardly setting the world on fire... which btw makes me chuckle whem poeple are going made for tom ince. If norwich want the lad i say come get him cos he's decent and its safe to say whether or not a lad makes it with us we'd want them to suceed somewhere (abr the odd total numpty who deserve what the get like le tallec)
But you didn't look to buy him from us? Would that suggest that you lot also though he was not good enough for the PL? Been to Carrow Road a few times many years ago, nice place also seen some good bands in Norwich UEA.
rafa stuck him right wing grudgingly in his last season and mostly in the europa. the thing is he's a second striker type in fariness so he was never going to play instead of torres... n'dog was slated for that which shows how low we go compared to the top clubs. right now we've absolutely no-one and pacheco is still not even getting a sniff... you have to wonder cos what rodgers is asking for is simple enough.
I never expected him to play instead of Torres but Rafa trusted Ngog more when Torres was out. That either says something about Rafa, Kenny, Woy and Rodgers...or it says something about Pacheco. Out of all the managers Pacheco's worked under at LFC you'd have thought BR would have been his best chance to force his way in. Hasn't happened. Can't see it happening either.
