Where is he. Has he fell out with the management. 3 clean sheets on the bounce and the best of the three IMO. Not even in the squad.

Did he not take a knock? That’s why Wright went straight in on wed I thought.

I think it's great that ozturk will feel like he has to play out of his skin the next time he starts. How it should be! Thanks to a decent window, imo, Hume and Wyke should feel the same.

Well with Lynch being knocked out yesterday he may well find his way back in if he is fit.

Good question, Ozturk was not injured apparently so something is amiss. PP screwed up again yesterday with his subs imo, and the news that he was going to send Robson back to Grimsby until an injury to Leadbitter does cause me more concern than yesterdays result tbh.

See the sad reality (even though I agree with what you say) is that every player should ALWAYS feel like that!! Too many nowadays don't play like they need to be their best every game as they know they'll be picked the next week.

For me, Willis is the best defender we've had at the club for quite some time. Got everything to make it at a much higher level IMO. Him, Wright and Ozturk would be a good back 3. Ozturk can pass a ball (his free kick which set up Mark McNulty this season is prime example).

Ozturk would have got his head to at least one of the set piece crosses for their goals

Don’t think anything was “amiss” just PP thought he’d bought better with Wright.
Re the Robson situation you seem to have a much higher opinion of the lad’s ability than either of our two most recent managers. For my part I’ve seen him be decent and abysmal in fairly quick succession so I don’t know where his true level is.

He's more useful than Leadbitter. Fwiw I've always rated Robson though. Gets up and down the pitch, good physique for this level, can pass the ball which some of our midfield struggle with, takes a decent set piece and can come up with the odd goal.

Can agree with all of this but I suspect that while he can do those things he might be inconsistent- a bit like a lot of our squad

This is why I am not clammering for him in the side. I've watched him be superb one week then absolutely atrocious the next 3! Never seen him play 2 decent (7-8/10) games in a row.

I disagree mate - I have seen Maguire put in a string of good performances with the odd bad one in among them (when he is in form) - Robson was the other way around IMO. For all I know, Robson may have matured and may be a better player now. More rounded and able to manage games week on week. But Parkinson and Ross saw him week in week out, and neither of them have been at the forefront of getting him in the team. Football management is easy for us. Loads say "stick him in" having not seen him play for 2 years. Grimsby fans rave about him - but It wouldn't take a great player to look good in a team sitting 17th in the 4th division let's be honest!

I'll leave my trust in the manager - he knows the players better than I do.

Wish Embleton was fit though - then we'd all be likely having a different conversation!

Thought Ozturk was very unlucky to be left out , he is a no nonsense defender who is not easily pushed around like some of our defenders and we don’t concede as many goals from set pieces when he is in the side . In some games you worry because his arms are all over the place but seldom concedes free kicks in dangerous positions, the two goals at Portsmouth we’re down to bad defending/marking . As I said he is unlucky to be out of the side and Saturdays defeat emphasised that .

I wondered that too - but I think he'd picked up a knock as he wasn't in the squad. Can;t see him being dropped altogether and sure I read that he'd picked up a knock. Hopefully back for Saturday as I doubt Lynch will be able to play. On the lynch note - I've noticed he loses his head sometimes and becomes a bit of a liability until he finds it again!

    His passing is atrocious too.

I was impressed with Ozturk last season, we defended better in the latter stages when he was there. I think we definitely look more assured when he plays and Willis looks better when he's in the side. I'm still undecided on Bailey Wright, too early to tell what he's like.

Yep - although if a defender defends first and is a "footballer" second I don't mind - but to "kick it for kickings sake" does my head in! Already seen Ozturz set a goal up with a pass Beckham would've been lauded for. Not that I'm saying he's Beckham like but he's capable of playing a decent pass.

I'm still waiting for him to score a goal like the one at Hibs when he played for Hearts. I assume he's saving it for when we play the mags though.
