I really envied Arsenal getting him at the beginning of the season. He looks like Vlad Smicer now. Thought Carzola was one tenth of the player that ran the show at The Emirates too. I'll be the first to admit that I never thought they'd miss Ramsey this much.
Don't think you were alone at first, at the start of the season I thought he was better than Bale. Massive signing that's noe looking dissapointing. I still reckon he will come good again.
hopefully he will prove you all wrong and be pivotal to stuffing the mancs on wed be a good test to see what arsenal are all about as well, should imagine their fans are hoping for some sort of backlash, bit like me
I'm more interested in what sort of mess you left your toilet yesterday morning!? [NSFW] please log in to view this image [/NSFW]
Good dump, needing Harpic and Glade air freshener. Not as big as the dump before the Stoke game though, and we sort of were hanging on there (unlike my turds, which floated down the Ouse a long time ago).
He has had a few quiet games recently for sure. Against you lot he didn't do much but then neither did anyone else! To be fair to him though he has lead the assists charts for the league for most of the season (now sitting second to Rooney) and has created more chances than any player in any top European league. And chipped I n with aha ndful of goals. So he may not look like he is working hard sometimes but he is able to perform to a high level rather effortlessly. He needs to do more in the bigger games and he would benefit from a slightly different type of striker to giroud, but he has been a key player in a side which has been top of the league for the majority of the season. He really is world class, the way he passes the ball around is so enjoyable to watch. It's his first season in the league and he'll need to get used to how things are done but despite that he is having a very good season. He has been off the pace for a few games but don't let that overshadow how good he has been for us since signing.
I agree. He tore England to shreds four years ago in SA. He started so well. Anyway, I'd take him tomorrow, but in terms of form he'd be Coutinho's understudy at the moment, to be honest. Was that Carzola's worst game too? I rate him, but he was dire as well.
Cazorla and ozil both let us down yesterday, what we needed was Ramsey and flamini in the side to break up play and actually cover ground. The two mentioned performed well below the standard we have come to expect from them and didn't get about the pitch enough. Overall though I'd take Cazorla or ozil ahead of coutinho. Ozil is a bit like arshavin was for us, even when off form still likely to step in with a game changing moment. His impact has been subtle and a lot of people have missed how important ozil has been for us this season. I agree though that current form has ozil not performing and coutinho doing well. But every player has a handful of games where there form dips.
Seems a limited player, doesn't offer much off the ball. Think he is struggling with the pace and dynamics of Prem football and will have to try and adapt, hard to say how long that might take; he and most of Arsenal's team obviously weren't prepared for the intensity we came at them with yesterday.
He's a quality player - truly world class. He's struggled recently but I believe that could be down to missing players like Flamini and Ramsey - the workhorses of the team.
Fair, don't disagree that he's quality but he's world class at doing what he does, not an all action sort of player. As you say when the supply line comes back I'm sure he'll step it up / be back to his best.
When I read the title I thought it was going to be an article about Ozil saying he was wrong to join Arsenal
Ozil made a huge error leaving real. nobody but their bean counters wanted it. he and real regret it... I think arsenal should take utd apart this mid week but i hope vidic clogs ozil and giroud break his toe off evra's jumping on him then evra cries racist to avoid a card and you lot have to deal with the aftermath... anything to disrupt your fa cup revenge seeking session next time out.
