He's a perfect example why they need another manager in now, Hughes too. The younger lads are going to lose confidence playing for an inept manager and we will go down. Dawson can hold the ship for a while even get Barmby back to help out
We thought Pompey was bad but we've just somehow managed to lose to a pub team who haven't won in eight games. And there's a depressing pattern starting to emerge here: First half we're dominating, creating chances and looking confident on the ball (we don't score, obvs). Second half we come out looking like strangers. It happened against Derby, Burnley, Pompey and again tonight. What exactly is Tim saying to them at HT? Part of me feels sorry for him because these players are much better than this but I just can't see a way back for him.
I'm not sure. He might be a rapid improver. I've seen others like Conor Townsend and Cooper let go too early
all the subs were gash, Jarvis was particularly bad....but Puerta gave away about 8 needless free kicks, Bedia as ineffective as Pedro, Burstow no impact, Drammeh continued where he left off on sat. Garbage
Difficult times, sadly no one likes to see anyone lose their job, but keep this guy and its League 1 in 2025/26 for sure...See if Warnock fancies it for the rest of the season. All 7 months of it.
Players have to take some responsibility, but if they don't believe in what they are been asked to do, you can sort of understand it. I wanted TW to succeed and was prepared to give him until Xmas but things just aren't improving or working and he won't change. We play a holding midfielder that the back 4 don't pass to, so everyone saying we miss Seri is just bollox as we wouldn't pass it to him anyway. It's the cb's end up out wide and are expected to put decent crosses in, they are professional footballers but they play in a position for a reason. Where do we go from here is anyone's guess, new manager but **** knows who.
He won't survive this. That performance once we'd gone behind was abject. As bad as anything since the wheels fell off Covid season. Players obviously not good enough. Players who don't give a ****. Players who gave up. No motivation, No leadership. Rip it up and start again.
Players are **** But its easier to sack a manager than the players Players have all the power these days
There were warning signs from the start. I was hoping after that 3 game run and after the Sunderland and Burnley games that things were starting to move in the right direction, but although there's no lack of effort, they can't cope with a setback without looking like they're completely lost I don't know where this leaves us Tbh. It's far from ideal, but when you lose the away support like that there's surely no way back.
I think he'll be gone now.The position we sit in the League and some/most of the performances would warrant that. That said, these players need to have a long hard look in the mirror. They had chance after chance in that first half and were wasteful(to be polite).Second half they ran around like headless ****ing chickens, were poor in the pass and bottled countless 50/50 challenges. The Owner might as well have a look in the mirror while it's available because his recruitment in the striker Dept was a fail, full stop!!!
Goals change games and this wide open system means we need to score 2 to win and we're struggling in front of goal. Makes it really tough to build any confidence or momentum. 1 clean sheet in 14 is pathetic.
Burstow put in a brilliant cross that Bedia failed to convert. Saturday showed what Pedro can do, but if the back 4 **** about with the ball and he gets no service what the **** do you expect him to do.
