Hey MAJR - your match day thread wasn't showing on this site when I started my thread! Happy to let you take over
I didn't see a Match of the Day thread when I came on her about half-an-hour ago so I thought I'd start one. So I think we were both just reacting to that. I think in the future it might be worth making the thread a day in advance. I'll probably do what I did last weekend and do a running commentary of the game, as I hear it on the radio, but I can only do it for weekend games because mid-week games clash with my work hours, and even then I might not be doing this all season.
Sounds like one of the goal nets was not secured properly. Keep and eye out for that coming loose if someone scores in that goal.
Nothing to do with this game but just looked at Sky Sports News on my TV and Tomas Kalas at Fulham might have just equalled Vinnie Jones for the quickest sending off in Football
Evans feeds the ball into the box but it's clear, only to Pompey on the half-way line, Bennett makes space and passes to Evans with Pompey getting into a dangerous position but nothing comes of it as Oxford put it out for a corner.
Evans whips in the corner but too hard and no one get there, wasted opportunity as it goes out for a goal kick.
Oxford throw near Pompey's corner comes to nothing as it goes out for a Pompey goal kick. Taken quickly but Haustrup put it out of play almost immediately.
End to end stuff at the moment by the sound of it, but not much in the way of clear cut chances. Passes still going astray.
Oxford behind Pompey's back four and Thomas almost in the clear but dispossessed. Pompey defending well.
Thomas gets lucky after the ball bounces off a Pompey player and Oxford pile on the pressure. Pompey holding firm at the moment.
