I didn't see a Match of the Day thread when I came on her about half-an-hour ago so I thought I'd start one. So I think we were both just reacting to that. I think in the future it might be worth making the thread a day in advance.

I'll probably do what I did last weekend and do a running commentary of the game, as I hear it on the radio, but I can only do it for weekend games because mid-week games clash with my work hours, and even then I might not be doing this all season.

Evans feeds the ball into the box but it's clear, only to Pompey on the half-way line, Bennett makes space and passes to Evans with Pompey getting into a dangerous position but nothing comes of it as Oxford put it out for a corner.

 

Evans whips in the corner but too hard and no one get there, wasted opportunity as it goes out for a goal kick.

 

Oxford throw near Pompey's corner comes to nothing as it goes out for a Pompey goal kick. Taken quickly but Haustrup put it out of play almost immediately.

 

Cross by Oxford and a header goes straight into McGee's arms.

 

Pitman heads wide.

 

End to end stuff at the moment by the sound of it, but not much in the way of clear cut chances. Passes still going astray.

 

Oxford behind Pompey's back four and Thomas almost in the clear but dispossessed. Pompey defending well.

 

Thomas gets lucky after the ball bounces off a Pompey player and Oxford pile on the pressure. Pompey holding firm at the moment.

 

Bennett working hard in both offense and defence at the moment.
