time to own up people on here who brought a five star album back in their heyday i just found a copy but on tape system addict and others bloddy good tracks why did they suddenly stop performing i think they should reform and re make the songs 2012 style
Ebay or Amazon Jon. Either that or visit every house in the UK and ask the householder if they own a copy.
Never heard of them. At first look I thought you were saying "Who want's to buy a five star stadium?" - and I thought ah that's what Jon does professionally, he is a liquidator!
I loved their song that was called "Can't wait another minute" or something like that... I never actually bought any of their albums but recall buying a few singles. <theeightieswerecoolreally>
is their anyway someone could contact the group and get them to reform would be brilliant perhaps they could re do the greatisit hits album with 2012 beat to it i reckon could work
The birds were nice. My mate at school's first gig was 5 Star and we all took the piss. Mine was Amebix, Visions of Change and Karma Sutra - Sundays was Anarcho Punk night in Stevenage.
That's exactly what happened, they had a few minor hits and assumed they would go on to crack America and make a fortune. They were driving Ferraris and Lamborghinis, Porsches, Astons and the odd Roller. Sadly they were all taken back when the predicted cash failed to materialise. A bit like what happened to MC Hammer.
In 1989 their Greatest Hits collection peaked at a lowly No.53 on the UK album chart. In April of that year, the group had made an infamous appearance on the British children's TV show Going Live, when, during a live phone-in, a teenage caller called them "****ing crap". To make matters worse, amid reports of bankruptcy, the family had been forced to sell their Berkshire mansion after only two years.[SUP][1][/SUP] The family then moved to Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
