Now he is fully fit (courtesy of Youtube) would you offer him a contract? I'd go in for a cheeky offer of a 1 year pay as you play deal with an option for a full contract the following season depending on apperances He may be old, he may have a history of being injured but if that really is all behind him then he can be useful
I hope he goes to Norwich, is fit for 2 games against Utd and dominates Carrick and Fletcher, then retires a rich man.
If our hargo went to you lot i'd probably cry! Was a great player when fit and i'll never forget the free-kick against l'arse. I'm sure if he were to accept a pay as you play offer, united might be in there first though, with our centre midfield shortages and the fact that if he doesn't play, no loss. I'd think that you'd offload some CM's before thinking of signing another, especially if the adam deal goes through.
Not for me. Despite that You Tube video, I still think he has major injury issues and I can't see him getting over them injuries.
I don't think he'd be suited to us but I think he could get a decent premier league club or possibly might go back to Germany?
The only way he'll make money is if someone offers him a pay to not play deal.Maybe Everton may offer him that.
I think it would be better if his youtube videos prooved his fitness if he did a range of jackass style stunts I'm Owen Hargreaves, I'm in asia... and this is Asain Manc Baiting... "Hey You.... Rooney is a granny shagging ****"
I dunno he can actualy run in that video - i'm impressed! He's not an atractive buy for anyone. Big clubs do not want the extra overhead, smaller clubs will not want to pay his wages. Feel a little sorry for him.
I'd offer him a pay as you play deal because I too have doubts about his fitness and our doubts would be put at ease if he signed a one year contract to prove his still fit. After that, depending on his performances I would offer him a extension of two years on a low wage but a appearance bonus to still be on the safe side. That way, he gets injured, he stills get a little wage but he doesn't get the fat paycheque he would get if he was playing. In my opinion alot of players should have this done, would make them more determined to get first team football and perform at their best
He really isn't for Liverpool. You do have to feel sorry for a player that had so much to offer but wh's boddy let him down. As we already have Agger and Aurelio we can't afford another crock. Hope he finds something that suits him.
Theres the difference between a crock and Hargreaves. He would fail the medical due to the arthritis he has in both knees,Liverpools doctors unlike Uniteds would pick up on it.
We feel we lost out when we think of Jovanovic, Cole, Poulsen, Konchesky. Think about United, they spent £17million on Hargreaves + his wages, not to mention Veron and Forlan. And how they signed Pique as a teenger and sold him as a World Class player for £2million... They've been unlucky to say the least.
How can you balance it out with Hernandez? You haven't sold him.Not forgetting to mention the massive losses you lot made on Djemba Djemba and Kleberson and Yorke and Saha.
I reckon ronaldo sold a hell of a lot of merchandise and i doubt we'd have won as much in the time he was here if we didn't buy him. Hernandez scored some crucial goals last year and without them we probably wouldn't have won the league. He'll also be on the back of almost every united shirt sold in Mexico and he has good marketing potential. With that we sold ronaldo for 80mil, so thats a good bit of money gained. Dunno whether it balances it out, but it doesn't seem as damaging. Oh i also forgot VDS for £2million or whatever we bought him for. I do regret selling pique. Remember seeing his potential as a young lad breaking through, then we sold him and i thought 'this will bite us in the arse.
