A real shame as he was a very good player, when he did actually play. I always felt he was abit of an unsung hero for England aswell:biggrin:

A lot of footballers don't have the luxury of deciding himself when he wants to call it a day, they are forced to do so because their body is no longer up to it. With Hargreaves it just happened a few years earlier than usual, that's all. Of course it's not nice, certainly not from the club's perspective considering all the millions that went down the toilet, but I don't think I should shed any tears for him. He got to play nearly a decade of football at the highest level, won lots of things, played at a World Cup, had a huge salary. Now he's just 30, healthy as long as he doesn't try to play professional football, has millions in the bank, plus being articulate and multilingual he should have no problem finding work as a pundit if he feels a need for some extra dough. His situation really isn't all that bad. Can't blame him for lacking guts but at some point he will have to accept it's over.

Jezz ffs get over it already?
