It sounded like a really good game with many corner kicks for Argyle.. It seemed just a matter of time before they scored...i even spilled my coffee a few times.. Sparksy was in good form he must of spilled his tea when the visitors scored.. And the hand ball..even i saw it from over here... Don't know if you splashed to the game SENSIBLE but look forward to your report..
With a five point gap appearing above 19th place......we now find ourselves in a six team mini relegation league.....now 20th place and one point above a bottom two place.....how much longer do we have to suffer.
Ok where to start? First half pretty good and we 'should' have been at least one up. Judging by my swim home i don't want to criticise the players as they gave it everything considering the conditions ; but, Chadders was woeful (one of the biggest cheers was when he finally made contact with the ball with his head-the other was when he was subbed). Second half poor- yet again no plan B. Griffiths and Madjo looked much better then Chadwick and Cowan-hall but weren't given enough time (nothing new there then). Everyone is saying we should have had a penalty but I am not convinced and for once I thought the ref was good. Baz was the official man of the match but I think I would have given it to Moseley who whilst I doubt he will be a superstar is tall, agile, has a bit of skill and strength and is therefore nothing like the run of the mill PAFC players. As much as I like Fletcher I think we need a change- he may well make a decent higher division manager but doesn't seem to be able to anticipate what needs to be done during the match.
Thanks LYNDHURSTGREEN for getting wet and your report.. So Moseley played the whole game and did pretty good i hear.. with just a little more luck Argyle could have and should have won that game..Oh so near.. Fletcher might have his critic's but it seems to me he really is working hard with the Guys..i mean what else can he do..
This is becoming pretty much that you could write a report on Argyle and just re-post it week on week. The problem with Argyle is that almost no matter what pressure they put on the opposition they simply cannot put the ball in the net. We should have and could have been three up at halftime and Chesterfield would have no complaint. One of my mates commented that it was like watching the 7 - 0 against Chesterfield all over again but without the goals this time. Apart from the first 10 minutes Chesterfield were simply not in the match. Argyle tried and tried again but no goals at half time. Now, what has been the patern now for a couple of seasons? Argyle will conceed a goal at some point in the match. Neither side looked like scoring anything but of course up popped one of their's and bingo it was 1 - 0 and Argyle not looking like the had a prayer of coming back. It is sickening to watch. The team look as thought they almost expect to conceed. The confidence in front of goal is lacking severely now. They panicked with most of it instead of doing the right thing and calmly slacing the ball. This was another 3 points thrown away and it is as previously said same old same old everytime. The non playing of Madjo is just mind boggling. Why is he suddenly second or even third choice? I don't get it. Not only did I get soaked but the walk to the car and trip to the bar after the game was a dire experience. I agree with lyndhurst in that the officials were definately not to blame for this one. The Ref I thought was one of the better ones I've seen in a long time. He even had a sense of humour. That is now one point out of the last twenty one. How much longer Mr Brent? Even you must be aware by now and if you weren't then the crowd certainly let you know at full time.
5800 fans and you SENSIBLE got soaked..you Guys are the best part of the Club...i'm sure Fletcher knows what you think of him.. BUT it's the Players that just can't score..imagine how he must feel..he might even want to quit..wouldn't you ?..
There is not a prayer in hell that Fletcher will walk away. He will hang on by his fingernails until he gets a pay off. Brent is the one at fault here because in anyone's book and in any one of his other businesses he would sack Fletcher for this level of incompetency. The more Brent does nothing the more I think he is in this for other reasons than saving PAFC. Why else would he sit back and watch the ship go down.
Good Morning Away In BC there wasn't 5,800 there on Saturday, the number was more like 4,500 .... the fans have started voting with their feet. Apparently Argyle add the number of season ticket holders and any tickets bought whether they are at the match or not .... would be funny if the fans boycotted a match and with an empty stadium they were still saying there were 5,800 at the match lol
The attendance was 5,711 and Moseley, written off in some quarters before he'd kicked a ball was MoM.
