Seen lately the signing of Matt Mills to Leicester, 5.5 million? For a player who has never played a premier league game in his life, more then we payed for Bullard, and yes i know Bullard has always had his injury problems, but when fit(and wanting to play) he is top class. I just find it madness how this amount of money can be payed for a quite average player, but guess it just shows how desperate Leicester are for promotion this season. We cant compete with that sort of money at the minute.

I don't want to compete with them. There's a certain order of things and they are trying to be something they have no right to be. Their owners aren't that rich, not by Premier League standards and they aren't "giving" the money away either. It will all end in teers, but they will do what they are reknowned for and simply wipe out the debt and pretend nothing has happened.

I dont think many people actually think Bullard's transfer fee was hugely inflated. Its just his contract and, more specifically, the length of it.
