    Hello : )

Im a Ipswich fan, and i follow Chelsea(as that is where I am born).I just thought I would comment on the current Arsenal situation, and hopefully create a good discussion.

I will come out and say early,im a massive Wenger fan.If Wenger ever came out and wanted to become the manager of Chelsea,I would be over the moon.It saddens me the way that over recent years he seems to be a more lambasted figure by Arsenal fans, and leave me questioning what exactly people expect.

When Arsenal moved to the Emirates ,the general consensus was that money was very tight, and yet Wenger maintained their top 4 status.I genuinally believe you would have won the title in 2008 until THAT Birmingham game, when Eduardo was injured and Gallas went insane. Its not Wengers fault for the mix up at the back in the Carling Cup Final. All the while, while he maintains the top 4 status of Arsenal,he does so by playing the best football in the Premiership.I admit,he has a weakness when it comes to seeing that he must sign a cb,maybe to,and that everyone bar him can see it.However, under Wenger,Arsenal will always be in the Champions League, and in contention for trophies.I just get frustrated, watching from the outside, seeing this man be denegrated considering the job he has done, and if given time, will continue to do at Arsenal.

Hope it wasnt boring, and good luck for the season!

All of that is true but Wenger does not help himself at times. Last season we badly needed a CB in the winter transfer window and he refused to buy one because he said Vermaelen will be back at the important part of the season. When the season is over he says he knew that Vermaelen will never play again until the very last few games. So why lie, and why refuse to buy a CB? Also some of the fan pressure is also at the board. The thing that worries me is the lack of progress, the team is getting worse every year. When it was meant to be the other way around according to the Wenger project. If things go bad again because he does not sign a CB or does not spend the Fabregas and Nasri money then this could be his last season at Arsenal.

AW never addressed the problems - so now we have even bigger problems.
AND every club knows he will have money to spend urgently - so NO bargain prices....

If he hadn't pissed about buying Squilly, and the Manu retiree, but had bought a class CB- we may have kept Fab & Nasri.

Now we have to rebuild - and get rid of Almunia, Bendtner, Eboue etc.

Personally i'm happy with Wenger. I think he is the best man for the job, there is no-one available who could come in and do a better job at the moment. He has been fantastic for Arsenal and continues to be.

I do think this is an important transfer window and season for him but i'm happy for him to stay on as Manager.

He will brign us silverware sooenr or later i have complete faith in that.

    IN WENGER WE TRUST!

Would you be so over the moon if it meant winning nothing for 7+ years with Wenger as your manager?

He's sat on his hands now for years. Was Excellent then just pretty good, now embarrassing.
He keeps digging himself into deeper holes. Sadly clearly past it - what a terrible shame.

If i was constantly getting top 4 playing the football that Arsenal do,while spending ittle in comparison to the rest, then yes.
