ive commented on the board before saying how good it was seeing Newcastle being competitive again, but that seems like a long time ago now...

My question is, I've heard about the boycotts you are planning on doing and I feel you should, this is the fans club and the way it's being run is embarrassing. But why isn't the stadium not completely empty? What fans are still going to the games and why?

If Liverpool were run this way I wouldn't want to watch them because it isn't enjoyable to watch.

That's the million dollar question. I've stopped going myself because I am fed up. Cannot speak for others though.

i stopped going a season and a half ago. My daughter is 9 and my son is 3 and i would love to take them to see a football match, ideally Newcastle. But there is no way i will take them to see my club when these people are in charge, and we are moving to live in turkey at the end of the summer, so i have to assume they might never ever get to see my team play, cos I will never ever go back to St James whilst the current regime is in charge. All the lads i used to go and watch the Mags with feel the same, we have all found other more worthwhile things to do on a Saturday at 3pm, not through choice, but because we all refuse to give SportsDirect any of our money ever again!

It's just a waste of time going. The football it **** and the atmosphere is like a bloody theatre. We aren't alone. There are thousands of fans up and down the country that hate the way football is nowadays. It is dying. The businessmen in the game are killing it. Football is about being part of a community and that is being taken away. I don't identify with NUFC anymore. I may be from Newcastle but that club no longer represents me. It used to. It used to make me feel proud to be a Geordie. Now it just makes me feel embarrassed.

Why? Is it bad seeing Swansea doing well, Chelsea doing well, Bournemouth doing well?

Hoe enjoyable the football is should be one of the lasy reasons for determining whether you choose to watch or not. Fans acting like this is way beyond fans not of clubs that 'play a certain way' (Newccastle, West Ham etc). Its something that is affecting the whole football community, Newcastle being the goldfish bowl that it is shows this.

The problem is that while people still turn up to watch this steaming pile, Ashley just sits and rubs his hands in glee.

Newcastle United may well stay up but the club is on a dangerously steep slide.

Players lack of effort, not caring and completely folding as soon as something goes against them. We're in the same boat. And that's not the same as playing entertaining football

All I wanna see is an organised team play with heart and at least try to compete.
Throwing the towel in is an insult to the fans and the hard earned money they spend watching their team.

seeing players get stuck in and giving there all.giving 100% in a tackle surely entertains.if Arsenal are piling on the pressure and your team dont fold get stuck in, and come away with a point at the emerates ,your going to think, hey how good were the lads today ,me i would be buzzing

Why are Chelsea being labeled as boring then? YYou didn't like Sam allardyce and that's exactlyvwhat his teams offer.

People are just jealous of Chelsea because they are a good side that work hard and get results.

You need to bare in mind that a vast majority of the fans are ST holders so if they stay away they are simply not getting something they have already paid for. This isn't going to hit Ashley in the pocket this season. Better that they don't renew, its a big ask to say to people for whom the ST may have been a large investment and pressure them into not then going. I think most people understand that so aren't having a big go about it.

Also, there's 50K+ people, you can't easily organise that many. The attendances quoted have been a farce, the stadium hasn't had the amounts in which have been officially cited.

Also... I think what Hicks and Gillett were doing was worse (I work in Liverpool and have lived here for 8 years) and whilst the Liverpool fans moaned endlessly and had protests and marches they still kept going to the games.

This is exactly the point. They work very hard to be where they are in the league. 100% concentration and graft. If Jose took over from John tomorrow the whole team would be out the door and we would be playing the kids. He wouldn't put up with it. Nor should we have to. It's not all about winning bit it is about being a team, playing for eachother and the fans.
