I know we have released half of our youth team and Haidara and Gamez on a free but surely we need to shift a fair few players on in the last few weeks of the window which is inevitably where a large chunk of our funds are tied up. Don't think we've made one sale as yet have we? 2 of Sels, Darlow and Elliot aren't needed anymore maybe £5m each? Merino looks set to go for £10m but not gone yet. *Edit - he is now gone - thanks for the heads up guys x Mbemba apparently waiting for Porto to put a decent offer (~£10m) in but has been told not to bother coming back (class pieces of management there) Colback and Lazaar have been made to train with the reserve squad but not even a sniff of an offer for either. Maybe £5m for the pair Mitro I can't see a way back from. Will we get the £20m for him? Saviet unless he does a Gouffran and has a blinder in preseason will be off as well so I'd guess we want £5-7m for him. Ritchie linked with a move away and sounds like he could open to it if we get the £15m we are after Gayle also linked away for around £10m. By my math that's around £80million pounds worth of player we are trying to shift this summer and probably what is holding up the supposed incoming players. Maybe not all of them will go but I can only see 2/3 of that list staying so I'd imagine £50m is roughly what we'll get from the majority of them to spend on a Striker and a full back and then any other cover needed from those sales.
Think the issue is more with the wages we're paying this lot rather than the transfer fees themselves

Literally was announced about 3 mins after i posted Agreed - We are looking likely to sell 7-10 players in my mind and probably look at bringing 3 maybe 4 in so wages will be a big deal in terms the outgoing players wages off the books.
I don’t think the money is tied up entirely. I would imagine our wage bill still needs trimming massively or we will be back to square with it. We might have to accept some ****ty deals in terms of fees and continuing to pay portion of wages. How else we gonna get rid? Some have value like Mitro and Mbemba. The others are gash so we are flogging to lower clubs with less money.
Colbacks exit is almost finished to Forest, apparently. Mbemba and Mitro is just a matter of time. It's starting the season with Gayle and Joselu frightens the **** out of me.
We can’t just keep adding back to the squad. We’ve trimmed some. We still have Lazaar, Saivet, Sels, Colback, Mitrovic, Mbemba. We gotta get them shifted pronto as they all play no part in the first team. Killing us slowly.
I think Joselu will stay. Rafa I reckon likes having him around the squad for whatever reason. Both Mitro and Gayle would be sold first.

I’m not convinced he’d get 20 in League 1. I’m not convinced he’d get 20 for the Market Place Club in the Morpeth Sunday League to be perfectly honest.
He averages between 1 in 3 to 1 in 4 in top leagues. We just need to play him more. Last year was a bad year for him.

Yeah I called this earlier in the thread. We will just have to do the best we can or our wage budget will be out of control. Lazaar will have to be the same.
