Are we going to sell any players? We seemed to get players in before letting them go last season. Who do you think Brucey may be looking to move on? If the first 11 is (only guessing) Mac Dawson Davies Chezzy Elmo Brady Hudd Jake Snoddeh Jelavic Long Thats just on expected signings. That leaves Meyler Quinn Boyd Aluko Ince? Figgy Dudgeon Rosey Sagbo Mcshane Bruce plus two goalie's. We will be in for another forward too i reckon. I reckon some of those subs will go.
I can only really see Quinn, Sagbo and\or Prossie leaving. I dont expect to see many outgoings in this window.
Most likely departures are at LB....Figgy and maybe Dudge if his knee is still suspect. Sagbo is a question mark mainly because it sounds like he's not too enthusiastic about staying. Can't see us letting Quinnie or Boyd go...very valuable subs. We can forget Proschwitz.
Surely not Yannick ? That would be daft, we don't really know what to expect from him yet. He could be anything next season, and strikers are expensive, we've spent enough already ? Macca might go as he really wants to play games. I'd expect anyone who wasn't regular last season,to do one.
Not forgetting we still have Stewart and Prochwitz. Got to say that Bruce and McShane must be borderline leavers and I wouldn't expect Boyd, Quinn or Fig to be here next season should we stay up.
We have to be careful not to sell all of our higher championship/lower prem players. If it all goes tits up and we have to start flogging the players on high wages we may rue the day we sold macca and brucey junior
Stewart isn't just out of contract, he signed a three year deal with Ipswich this morning(and even if he hadn't, Leeds were stuck with him, he was gone in January).
I don't think you will see much movement going out other than Prossy, as going into Europe we need to have back ups. Maybe January will see some movement out if we are out of Europe.
Proschwitz and Dudgeon, Sagboo only if he wants it. Keep the rest with some cautious loans out; we are putting up our banner, this is a **** or broke season. It's only the depth that varies.
Dudgeon won't be going anywhere, we've just offered him a short term deal to prove his fitness, if he goes it's going to be in January.
Okay, that makes sense, thanks. Would only want to see big Nick go then and wish him well. As for Yannick Sagbo, it might sound daft, but I consider him a developing player in the PL, there are elements of his game I think are very good and very different to what we, or many, have. In a nutshell, we would be bloody daft to let him go at this stage.
I wouldn't have thought we'd see too many leave this Summer. As has been previously said, by signing Dawson (and possibly Maguire) we'd have them plus McShane, Davies, Chester, Figueroa and Bruce to cover there. I'd expect the latter to leave. I can't see any of the midfield leaving, Brucey seems to rate Boyd and Quinn which is fair enough, they're both decent squad players and we need quality in depth. Boyd seemed to get better as the season went on (that game against Swansea he was unplayable), hopefully he'll continue that into next season. Some proper loans for the youngsters would be good to see, if they aren't going to feature in the first team they might as well get some competitive action somewhere else.
