    He was always a favourite of mine as a player and I would have liked him to stay with us as manager for longer than he did, and I would wish him success if he gets the job.

    He's not got a chance. Shame I think he has the potential to be a very good manager, I think he definitely has the ability not sure he has the man management skills 100% of the time though!!

    I was gutted when things didn't work here, thought he was quite unfairly treated by sections of the press and fans. We did a lot worse not sticking with him than what happened after he left!!

    I think he needs to go to a league 1 or 2 club and build them up and also his reputation!!
