Right, firstly i'd like to apologise for the negativity expressed here but i'm finding it very hard to remain positive and keep any form of optimism I had held when we lifted the championship trophy. I've been logging onto not606 daily since joining, hoping for some positive news, i've even resorted to joining twitter so when i'm at work I can get vital/loftforwords/DavidMc tweets in the belief that soon our moods will be lifted. I'm not suggesting that this will be gained by a myriad of proven premiership signings but instead by simply finding out what is really going on behind closed doors at our beloved club. I feel that us as fans have been left out in the cold by the board. One thing i've always said about Bern/Flav since taking over the club is the lack of positive PR, they seem to leave it to the media to either create fantasy or at least read into situation and twist them to their benefit with no counter statements. It's currently the close season and the shoddy PR continues. All we are treated to from the club is that the current squad (love them) stating they all have a lot to prove etc. Cue time to panic if thats what our starting line up is in August! The list goes on 1) attempting to sell season tickets letting fans know that the likes of Tevez/Rooney and V.Persie are coming Loftus Road, probably to score a hat trick against us. Must admit can't wait to pay to see that 2) lack of a victory parade..... at the very least they could do an open day where people could pay to have a photo with the trophy??? Just a thought, nice bit of positive PR. 3) No release of ticket prices? Maybe it is because the Mittals are discussing a takeover, but surely this could be officially released, besides we all know that it is happening because of the media. 4) No sponsor??? this seems to be the reason why a new shirt hasnt been released. Quite possibly our most anticipated shirt in decades and we miss another trick. Surely Bern has a few links in with sponsors already??? I could continue with the list but want to try and remain positive........ This week will be the week that we hear something, not that the Mittals have successfully bought the club for 100 million, not that we are signing Tevez, not that nike are making our new kit, not that Kingfisher are our new sponsors, not that Mittal Holdings have purchased the BBC site for a new 30000 seater stadium..... But simply that the club are going to tell everyone what the hell is going on. But wouldn't it be lovely if we did hear all that this week Stick with it guys besides this is where we all wanted to be for quite some time now.
Reminder to all:....It is still 8 weeks to the start of the season and 11 weeks to the end of the transfer window! Warnock is working at signings so keep the faith...
Not just the signings we're talking about, from Faurlingate and all the rest. Promoted despite them, not cos of them.
I know we're all pissed off but it was similar last summer, the difference is there is definitely something going on behind the scenes and I'm positive Mittals are trying to cut a deal, we'll all just have to be patient. If we're still faffing about on the 1st August then I'll be worried...
