As we have all seen with Sigurdsson, Reading have a great youth system capable of bringing forward one or two players that could make a great difference to the team. Coverage of the youth and reserves is near impossible to find but I have heard good things about Jordan Obita and Lawson D'Ath. Would fellow Reading fans on here prefer to promote the most promising talents this summer like Gylfi was in 2009? As the chances of a big signing or two is highly unlikely and some of our best players are rumoured to leave this approach may not be such a bad idea and could pay off once again.
We've got none of the best Academies outside the PL. Saying that, you have to suppliment that with experience. I think we will see a couple more youngsters break through this year. Obita & D'Ath being the most likely.
