Our upcoming games on TV

  1. Chelsea (H)
    Liverpool (A)
    Manure (H)

Hmmm, It looks to me as if Sky Sports like putting pressure on us. All our toughest fixtures so far on live.

Spurs at home, probably our toughest game that far into the season, Live on Sky.

Stoke away, before the last few weeks most people would have considered this one of the toughest away games to play.

    Now Manure, Liverpool and Chelsea.

All the tough games shown live.

I'm not saying this a bad thing, but Sky Sports really seem to want to pick our hardest games to put on TV for some reason. Do you think they want to show the games we'll most likely lose in? Or do they actually take us seriously now and think we can threaten these sorts of teams?

That's because these games are the one's that people want to watch. These 3 games are a sign that Sky are starting to see us as a good team, notice how teams like Wigan are never on against Man Utd.

It's because it's 2 of the current top 4 sides (can't say that for Liverpool), it's been that way for years now, they give the lion share of games to the sides getting into the Champions League.

    This.

Pretty sure tv companies don't hold grudges against certain teams or anything. They're putting on the games that the neutral will want to watch. Let's face it, us at home to wigan isn't going to make their ratings go anywhere near the ceiling let alone through the roof.

    It's a conspiracy.

If (IF) what you say is true, when why didn't Sky broadcast the City-Newcastle game live?

Hang on, all our toughest games are on tv? Aren't we in the middle of non televised games away against first and second in the league?

  13. It was a simple question really. Do you think it's because they want to see us lose, put pressure on us, or do they actually think we should be taken seriously now.

I wasn't bitching about it, just pointing something out...

    -.-

I was just pointing out that Sky Sports seem to want to show us playing all the top teams now, I was just wondering whether or not they consider us a top team now or if they want to see us lose or w/e...

Of course some people just go and assume that I'm angry about it, as they have this stupid idea in their head that I'm an angry person.

Ask anyone on here who's actually met me and they'll tell you I'm not at all like how most of you picture me as.

In answer to the OP they always show these games, we just happen to play all these teams in quick succession.

Sky have chosen us for these games, because weve had a good start to the reason. And naturally, the neutrals will be interested in seeing how we perform against the top teams. There will be alot of viewers for the Chelsea game.

Sky wouldn'y want to see us fail and lose. If anything, Sky would rather we kept on the pressure, so we generate more interest. Hence, more potential viewers for sky.
