I have been checking back to the old 606 and I have seen various comments from fans of other clubs involved in the relegation scrap saying that we are not in the scrap and that we will be safe very soon.

Now as much as I find this flattering for our club, am I the only NUFC fan here who thinks we are in the battle and have a chance of going down. These are some of the fixtures we still have to play:

    Stoke (A)
    Man Utd (H)
    Liverpool (A)
    Chelsea (A)
    Villa (A)

These are tough games and games against WBA, Wolves, Blackpool and Birmingham are crucial. I am confident we will stay up but just wanted to point out that 5 points above drop zone is not good.

Couldn't agree more. Until we are mathematically safeI'm not ruling relegation out. Our run in is very tough.

It is still possible to get relegated but highly unlikely. I'll be extremely disappointed if we are.

as I've said all along. Theres easily 8teams worse than us, even if we had all the top half to play for the remainder of the season we would stay up

A + GD would make all the difference if we were tied on points and we've got a much better GD than the other teams that will be in the mire.

  8. We need to treat those winnable games ****ing seriously, not like those ****ing **** stains people called performances against Stoke, Blackpool, Wigan, Everton and Fulham. These 5 home games should be an easy 11 points atleast, and we scrape 2 points.

We need to play Brum, Wolves, West Brom and Blackpool like cup finals, because we need to win atleast 3 of them in my opinion.

Pardew needs to make sure we're in ship shape, and make sure we take opponents tactics seriously this time.

Injuries are not helping much, Enrique and other key players out does make it harder but I think Ferguson could do a good job at stoke.

Errrrr im pretty sure you wrote an article saying Tiote shouldnt play against Stoke. Surely Stoke is one of many games we should take seriously.

I also think and I may get slated for this,
that we should look to Man Utd at home as a winnable game
for me they have been absoloute dire away from home this season and have a few ****e results to show for it

Of course we can go down, I still think any 3 of 13 can.

It makes a change for the teams in mid-table to still be looking over their shoulders.
Usually by this stage of the season there are teams cut-adrift at the bottom of the league - this season has proved highly original in the way it's played out.
Some think it's down to poor quality play, I think that it's more to do with having many very evenly matched teams this season.

I think it's made the whole season much more interesting and unpredictable.

Couldn't agree more. I think Wigan, Wolves, West Brom, West Ham, Birmingham, Blackpool, Blackburn, Villa, Fulham amd Stoke are more likely to go down than us. Personally I think that Wigan, Woves and Blackpool will go down (but I hope I am wrong about the Tangerines...)

We can still mathematically go down, but we have points on the board that those below us don't and a better GD than most teams in the league.

We need to get a couple of key players back, but confident we can still stay up comfortably.
I won't panic about it until we are in the drop zone, which I can't see happening.
