I think we should play like this views:

    Chec
    Azpi Ivan Terry Cole
    Luiz Rami
    Oscar Mata Hazard
    Schürrle

Subs: Schwarzer, Cahill, Bertrand, Lampard, Mikel, De Bruyne, Torres

Squad Players: Kalas, Aké, Essien, van Ginkel, Eto'o, Ba

This is what I would expect in terms for the squad I would expect for the rest of the season not including any loan players or anyone else. I still think when looking at this team as it stands till January lacks a quality striker. Ba and Eto won’t cut it. But for the amount we paid for Torres he seems still to be a big game player and scoring important goals. As for the back for I think a Terry and Ivan is a good solid partnership for now. With Azpi at RB he proved last year he’s not just good going forward and can track back getting himself into the Spanish side. Luiz for me is a wasted talent in Defence but one thing Benitez got right was David Luiz. Plus with an international teammate we all know Rami is good at joining up defence and attack. He really is underrated by many. The 3 amigos should be reunited as they have fluidity and understand each other. And with schurrle as a make shift centre forward we would actually then have a team under mour capable of winning the league.

With a very strong bench and lots of talent on the bench and players like De Bryne and Willian coming on to rotate in for the 3 amigos. I think any Chelsea Fan, plastic fan and average joe knows what lukaku will bring to the team. Putting the penalty aside he actually held the ball up well against Bayern and that seems to be forgotten. Being able to bring players like lampard and mikel in for the big games as well as torres would be beneficial and make us run away champions. As arse look poor without giroud and have no other decent centre forwards, Liverpool buy ****. Manure will be looking for a new manager at Christmas. Meaning our main rivals will be city and spuds. but we have mashed them up at Wembley they forgot that. Plus they only have the Chelsea typewriter as manager. <doh>

Personally--I think Eto'o will make it and I think the next few games will see him asdjust to our way of playing! Shirrle is good but dont see him as a striker!

We seriously do need a new striker though.

Some of us like Eto'o, some of us like Torres, nobody seems to like Ba whilst the man everyone likes, Lukaku, does not seem to be ready for the man that counts, Mourinho.

For me we could do no worse than sign somebody like Jackson Martinez, has a good pedigree in Europe and can become lethal with a better service up to him. The only other option in January is Suarez, and that looks very unlikely.

As for the rest of the squad, a reliable defensive minded CB plus an all round defensive midfielder to compliment Ramires are key. Time to finally replace Terry, Lamps and Drogba.

I like Luiz as a defensive mid as well,it is unconventional, but he seems ready made for it. Jose is way too conservative to do that, in fact he seems scared to try anything a bit "out there ". I am not a fan of his selections or tactics this time round, not so far anyway.
As for Schurrle, he can do anything......... EXCEPT score, so a big NO to him as striker. There is no answer except bring in someone who can. Ba and Eto are very second rate, Torres is OK, Lukaku is an answer, but Jose ****ed up that as well.
Lets see what the next few games bring, Jose surely must improve things and the Steaua game was an improvement. He needs to be bolder and lose his ego.

Luiz doesn't have the stamina nor tracking abilities to play as a midfielder but other than that I think the OP's line up is very good and is something we could experiment with in an away game. Not so much at home against well organised sides.
