This should be a fairly routine home win against an out of form team, languishing at the bottom of the table. Any reason why it's on a Sunday? We've got an interesting run of festive fixtures coming up, with three consecutive home games against Crewe, the Arsenal U21s in the Pizza Cup, and struggling League Two side Barrow in the FA Cup. Those matches provide a great opportunity to string a few wins together and build up confidence and momentum, ahead of tricky back-to-back away trips against in-form Charlton and Wigan. If we don't beat Crewe and exit both cup competitions, it'll surely be a week where the new owners start planning for alternatives in the dug out.
5-0 Towan……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………only kidding,2-1 as usual!
Next 3 games as you say give us a great chance to get our act together, get PCs preferred A team out, and notch up 3 wins. Just hope Burns is back soon. That would calm the worriers, buy PC time and bring us some pre festive cheer!
2-0 win. The game is on Sunday because we were given the option by the EFL and decided to take it as it would give us more recovery time from the Tuesday game. It also gives those who can't make a Saturday match a chance to attend.
Gonna stick my neck out and go for a comfortable 5-1 victory. Can see the pig starting, and will step up and get a hat trick. Fraser and Edmondson with the other two.
I also think a morale boosting win is on the cards, and the Pig and Bonne starting, yeah, PC on a road to conversion. 4-1 the Pig, Bonne, Aluko, Fraser and, perhaps even a late Edwards goal at last. Lifts us up to 11th.
After the football lesson we got from Rotherham which was also our 4th game in a row without scoring i would say our season very definitely hangs on this game, failure to win and win well would put Cook under pressure from the fans who are heartily sick and tired of our slow motion, sideways, backwards and going nowhere football. If we seriously want to get out of this lousy division we have got to play at a far higher standard than we are now, are we capable of that ? we shall see from now until January what the results are and if theres no improvement i can see a fans protest to get Cook replaced, this is the 3rd division for Christs sake.
I am expecting this line-up Walton KVY - Nsiala - Edmundson - Penney Morsy - Evans Aluko - Chaplin - Celina Bonne But would feel sorry for Donacien. I would prefer a front 2 of Bonne and the Pig but we know that wont happen. And its time for Toto to take a seat, and would like Burgess in there, and Fraser alongside Morsy LB Penney or Clements who has done nothing wrong.
Switch celina for fraser and bonne for the pig...he needs a run out, and today could be the ideal game for him
I wonder about Celina arguably our mist gifted player, been wasted. I suspect the Pig and Edwards will come on 2nd half as impact players assuming we are 2 goals ahead!
I would agree about Celina being our most talented player but wasted ? im not so sure, an awful lot of his passes have been going to the opposition and his lack of commitment when the going gets tough is plain to see. I would like to see this talented footballer demanding the ball to get us going forward at pace, taking shots, and making tackles, in other words get more involved and inspire the others around him starting today.
Good to see Fraser alongside Morsy, a few weeks too late imo but better late than never, can't see how Celina starts but hopefully he will prove me wrong
