At long last we are beginning to reap the plaudits and appreciation that we deserve. The media, in print on TV and the radio, have been increasingly noticing what we are about. And it feels GREAT!! This morning on Talk Sport, Richard Keys said to a phone-in guest: "so Swansea go to the Emirates tomorrow to play Arsenal. WE ARE IN FOR A FOOTBALLING MASTER CLASS AREN'T WE?" Hey, that's US he's talking about! "Footballing master class"!! Doesn't that sound great? Of course, we know that he includes Arsenal as well but what an accolade. It's obvious that our reputation for good football is now totally accepted. Well done to Michael Laudrup, the team and the Board for putting us well and truly on the football map. I can't begin to tell you how good I feel about it.
Yes I caught that, it was Tony Mccoy I think wasn't it? I think he's a gooner, hence the mention. It is amazing and I think we're all basking in it, while hopefully not getting too carried away. Long may it continue
Echo all that. I am looking forward to tomorrow's match and listening to the pundits on Fox Soccer, who so far this season have acted like we are the fart in the room, have to talk about us at length. It's going to be great!
Yankee, these pundits on Fox, are they British, American or what? Whilst I'm here, how are you doing, buddy? All is well I hope.
Host is Rob Stone - American. "Experts" are Warren Barton (British - Newcastle, QPR, Derby, Wimbledon etc), Eric Wynalda (American) and Brian McBride (American - 95 USA caps, Fulham, Everton, Preston, US teams). There is one other British guy from time to time that actually talks some sense but he is not as photogenic as Barton. All is well here - enjoying the Swans from my "season ticket" here at home - best seat in the Liberty. Trying to figure out when I can come over again - my schedule is crazy. Looks like it's not going to be until next August. How are things with you.
