I tell you what is batshit mental... Chelsea spending over £50million to sign a player... who isn't even going to join the club til next season. What a crazy waste of money. The pundits on sky slavering over the move like it is good business... How good will it be when he gets injured for months? Imagine we spent £50 million on a player who wouldn't even join for 8 months. ****ing nonsense.
Cardiff are still gonna go down though. With cack like them,Huddersfield and Fulham in the Prem, we actually have a chance of staying up.
We are actually going down the same route Sunderland did before the bottom fell out of their World. We are loaning players more and more and not buying players so we will never gradually improve. Money is not being spent and we will come to a stage where the loan players aren't good enough, the permanent players quality has diluted as we sell any decent players but don't adequately replace them and the bottom will fall out of our World and we could plummet as the remaining players can't be sold to raise the funds needed to "buy" promotion from the Fizzy Pop League.
2 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses since Ranieri came, hardly dazzling stuff, and they still let in goals like there's no tomorrow (apart from against us of course). Nah they're still ****, and I doubt they're gonna spend much more, seeing as they spent an absolute ****ton in the summer.
I'm being perhaps over optimistic here, but I don't think the comparison is really valid - at this point of the season Sunderland were firmly rooted to the bottom and getting walked over by everyone. The comparison here needs to be last season - at this point last season (after 21 games) we were only 1 point better off than we are now, and in 16th place (one place worse off than we are now). It will be tough of course, but it's all to play for right now, and we're not quite in the abyss Sunderland were in. At this point last season we brought in Dubravka, Kennedy and Salami and stayed up nicely. Yeah it's a definite long term problem if money isn't being spent and just scraping by every year will definitely result in us going down again at some point, but we ain't as bad as Sunderland were just yet.
I don't mean it will happen this year. Firstly, I think there is sufficient quality to keep us from relegation in the team at the moment and, secondly, I think there are definitely 3 worse teams than us in the PL this season. It may not even happen next year but unless we do change our player acquisition style/policy then we will be relegated in the next 2 to 3 years. Ultimately we should not be relying on loan players as it does nothing for long term building and progression of a team.
Their performances have imroved look at ours were no better and this arrogance we have is embarrassing . We're one of the worst sides in the league to suggest Cardiff or fulham etc are worse is based on arrogance and about 2 points at this stage.
