This is only my thoughts and you will probably all have different opinions but I was thinking who is our best player, who is rising up the rankings and who (those near the bottom) would we be looking at to upgrade.

First of all, I think all our first team squad is brilliant and whoever is the ‘worst’ is still a top player.

    Tier 1
    Xhaka
    Ballard
I don’t want to lose either of these and hope they stay for a long time.

    Tier 2
    Sadiki
    Mucky
    Reinaldo
    Diarra
    Alderete
    Roefs
As above, I want all these to stay.

    Tier 3
    Hume
    Isidor
    Le Fee
Hope we don’t lose any of these.

    Tier 4
    Rigg
    Taibi
    Brobbey
    Mayenda
    Adringa
    Mundle
All of these have the possibility to move up at leas one Tier and some maybe two. All keepers.

    Tier 5
    Neil
    Cirkin
    Patterson
    Onien
All excellent squad players although unlikely to get a regular start. Possible loans if they want but I’d be happy to keep them.

    Tier 6
    Masuake
    Hjelde
Plus our lads breaking through from the youth teams like the Jones’, Tutierov, Gerugasian and a couple of others not quite ready. Loans would be best for them.

If we are going to buy any player for the starting 11 they would need to be a Tier higher than the one they will replace unless it’s the ‘one for the future’ type.

We’ve got a great squad so for me the way to go is buy one top player better than what we have and maybe a couple of prospects. I wouldn’t want to make many changes, at least, not this season.
Let me know if I’ve missed anybody out.

If we were to get into Europe we would need a fair few more.

    One last thought.
    Luke.
We need to make sure he stays with us when he hangs his boots up. He’s worth his weight in gold in so many ways. He should go through the various coaching levels with the ambition of eventually managing the first team.
I do hope he gets some Premier game time, he deserves the chance.
