One good thing FIFA have done is moving international games from Saturday to Friday and from Wednesday to Tuesday. It give players opportunities to recuperate and train with thier teams before weekend matches. We hope that apart from Steve Gerrard,Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly and recent knock of Charlie Adam there are no fresh injuries.
I think international qualification should be banned. For the World cup everyone just turns up, names in hat and knock out from the start.
That is a good idea, you have my support one hundred percent. They can do the whole madness during summer. Like the world cup: Qualification can take three weeks . Africa qualification played in Africa, Europe qualification played in Europe and so on.It would make the whole thing exciting.
sounds like a good plan... if we say drew new zealand i nthe first orund away would you be happy though? I think international qualification could be reduced by preliminary rounds so the likes of andorra and san marino etc get dealt with fairly then have say 6 proper games to qualify... then play those god damned games at the end of the season so that teams can properly prepare for them. 6 games in may/june, then the finals of euros or wc the next year... simple. reduce the season by those many stupid weekends or add winter break............... but fifa hate common sense. more time for menaingless friednlies i nthe summer eh?
I really, really, really hate internationals. They should be banned from the season. As I've just said in reply to McNaulty's blog, the FA should only pick players from clubs that have flags at these games, so they should be picking players from layton Orient and Walsall, stop wrecking the players we pay for, for the enjoyment of lower league 'tards who watch that ****e.
