A mention for nines and roller. They have stepped up, following a rough spell on here and are quietly doing a top job controlling us riff raff. As has been said countless times, it is a thankless task and surely an added responsibility in their lives, but we are lucky to have them. As a team, they have every base covered and more, like the perfect centre back pairing. Cheers men.
Thanks for your generous post Woody. It's much appreciated. In all fairness though, due to the demise of our team and the sad and untimely passing of David, our board has been relatively quiet and subdued of late. And understandably so. We then had the awfully sad news of Hammersmith Hoopton too, and it appeared that it was a constant deluge of bad news. Hopefully though we can all move on once the season's underway and the true character and humour of this board will shine through once more. Although to be fair there has been some early signs of this lately. As far as the Modding goes, hopefully you won't notice us. We'll always be here as regular posters just as Roller and I were before we undertook the role. We both believe that our board should be a place to come and be informed and entertained away from the daily struggles of the proverbial rat race. Roller and I are very fortunate that most of the groundwork on our board was laid down by our predecessors , Northolt, Brixton, Goldhawk, Nuts and Matt. So a big thank to all of our previous Mods. But the real stars of this board are the frequent posters who log in and join in and keep us all entertained. Cheers Woody

Agree with all that's been said. Not sure it's a job I'd have the patience for, and how do you find the time? It is very much appreciated.
We have two first class individuals as mods that are both worthy of taking the baton from Brix, and that's saying something. The time they'll need our support is if things become a bit contentious on the board once the season is underway, as they probably will at times, because as football supporters we have fire in our bellies -which needs a slight dousing occasionally!
The problem with our mods is they are both much too tall. I'm 6ft and its unnerving looking up at people. Stainsey needs a box to look them in the eye.
Not the only one! But probably, being too tall is their only major fault. I entirely agree...after a very tough season, and the very sad loss of Brixton, chief mod extraordinaire, it has been a tough step up.....and Roller and 999s have really stepped up to the plate. Oh Woody, you tart! I have to admit I feel a bit of a fraud here as I don't think that I've done any modding at all. Half the time I forgot that I am a mod and then realise that Nines has done something that I could have done. As he says, everything is very quiet and all that has been required is a little housekeeping. I said when I took on the role that the identity of the mods is irrelevant to 99% of our contributors. Well currently it is 100%. Thanks for making it so that my negligence is irrelevant.
Tart!! Very kind of you to say. The reasons for starting this thread was to acknowledge the time and effort you both put into this, and the loyalty you are showing to Brix, by picking up the pieces. It's just obvious that you're both good at this, whether it be never letting a thread go unanswered or buying eddie's book. In these times of mercenaries, it's great to have a couple of un-sung heroes.
