Seeing as Bri does the match threads and usually I'm not about over the weekend (with it being a Sunday game) I thought I'd get a few opinions on the game this weekend.

I think the starting 11 will be, not necessarily in this formation...

    ----------De Gea-----------

    Rafael--Jones--Smalling--Rojo

    ----------Fletcher----------

    --Herrera---Mata---Young---

    ------Rooney---Januzaj-----

What do you reckon the weak points in that side is? Rojo aside being on his debut.

How would Gus Poyet set up the team if he knew that was how LVG was setting United up?

Has the fear of playing us totally gone for all teams now? Are you looking at us as 3 points you really should be taking at home?

As a side note... If these transfer rumours are to be believed about Welbeck, it will be concluded after this game in my opinion. It would be silly to let him even speak to you before the match. You should be forced to take Cleverley too, they come as a pair!

Edit: Bri I'll still do you a quick few lines for your official match thread I'll pm them to you in the next day or so. :emoticon-0148-yes:

I can't remember the last time we beat Man Utd at home in the league. For our current players though they have good memories of playing Man United last year and beating them twice. Always a tough game and United are a strong team I don't care what anyone says. Pressure on them? Losing the first hoe game, could nerves set in? What ever happens we will have to be at our best. I hope to god Fletcher is dropped for Wickham. I'd take a draw but the game is winnable. We are still 3 players away possibly 4 from being at our strongest and it could depend on our injuries too!

Cheers fella. We won't adjust our system mate. We're at home and will be playing for the win on our terms. this will be our system.

The team will be a tough one. Depends on who's available. We can beat anyone on our day, I don't expect a win, but I expect us to try and win

Do you mean signings or players that are currently unfit for matches?

We usually do ok at your place, I am quietly confident but I was Benny Hill style confident last weekend when the ducks came to Old Trafford!

Hahaha **** off Andy Gray! Do you have one of them pens you can draw lines on my screen with?

Last season we struggled to break down your game, that was against Ball as manager if I'm not mistaken, I wonder if LVG has watched that match, I'm hoping he'll give Januzaj a start and not Hernandez.

Our captain getting in the mood for the weekend by ice bucketing his Mrs, she needed a good wash anyhow.

If I'm honest Terry I'd rather we played a big team first at home, we won't be able to gauge anything against these also rans <whistle>

    2-1 the lads.

The only change for me is that Utd hold no fear anymore. I would say with home advantage this one is 50/50. 3-0 to the lads. ha ha

Wager? I'm saying 2-1 us and you're saying 2-1 to you lot... £20 and if it finishes any other score the bet is void? Bit of added fun.

Could be anything at this stage of the season mate, LVG has said he never starts well.

Strangely enough I'd have felt more confident of a win if United had beaten Swansea, since I could picture them coming up here overconfident and expecting to just turn us over easily. Now, this is a pretty crucial game for them to try and bounce back from losing the first game under a new manager, and LVG will have them fired up. I think it'll be a close one, either 1-1 or 2-1 to United. There's no real pressure on Safc though, and hopefully we should have a cracking atmosphere from a crowd who'll still be buzzing it's Manchester, not Rotherham, United for the first home game...

I think we will see a Man U team coming out fighting on Sunday, and we will have to be right up for it if we are going to beat them..

Lots of teams anticipated the backlash last season mate and it never really come from us.

I hope so, fight is the minimum I'll accept after losing last weekend.
