I just have to point out in a thread just how awesome Wes Hoolahan is and how he is completely flourishing in behind Holty. Everytime he gets the ball he's able to create. The movement is sublime, always looking for the pass, really high energy levels. He's an absolute joy to watch, and Tettey/Johnson are creating a lot more space for him to do his thing.
Wes is full of confidence, always wants the ball, and seems to be able to find that extra piece of space on the pitch (Irish Messi like). At the moment he seems to be involved in every good attacking aspect of our play, and he's also doing his defensive duties putting the opposition defenders and defensive midfielders under pressure.
CH has got the midfield balance right we were very unlucky with forced defense changes and I felt that the group defended well and Tettey and Wes are making a massive positive effect in the team can't wait to see how we cope with Man U in a couple of weeks
There's certainly a big difference in Wes under Hughton than under Lambert, he was fantastic against Stoke, they just didn't know how to handle him. All we need now is a few goals. I honestly feel the past few games is the best I've ever seen Wes play!
Not heard much of this Wes. Is he a youngun. Haven't heard anything of his international exploits ( I'm from Ireland you see) and would love to see someone creative in midfield apart from having to rely on people like Whelan
He's been ignored by Ireland for years, but he's in the squad for your next game. He's the best creative irish footballer in the Premier league. Hands down. How trap works that into your squad i'm not sure.
Trap is an utter buffoon. My patience has run out. Some of the players he persists with its just eyewateringly painful.
