Its my third thread of the day so I hope the Acworth-rule isn't imposed upon me, but I've been thinking about the relative strength of the squad this season and how it shapes up compared to recent years. I know I done a thread like this before, but given a restriction of only the main player in each position for the past few seasons, what starting 11 (composed of which player from each position) would you rather have? GK - Elliott/Elliott/Hamer RB - Richardson/Francis/Solly CB - Sodje/Dailly/Taylor CB - Llera/Doherty/Morrison LB - Youga/Fry/Wiggins RM - Sam/Wagstaff/Wagstaff CM - Semedo/Semedo/Hollands CM - Racon/Racon/Stephens LM - Bailey/Reid/Jackson CF - Burton/Benson/Hayes CF - Mooney/BWP/BWP The above players consist of those who have made the most appearances in each position per season, hence the omission of some decent players such as Anyinsah, Shelvey and Eccleston, and some umm not so great ones such as Nouble, McCormack and Borrowdale. Look forward to seeing your teams (and I suspect many will be very similar if not identical).
Elliot Richardson 1st season Dailly Taylor Youga Wagstaff Hollands Stephens JJ Burton BWP Hollands/Stephens get the nod purely as they are a the best duo - Had Bailey played more in the centre I would have drafted him in. I will still happily go on record and say I rated Mooney - he was similar to Hayes in style of play really...

Hamer Richardson Daily(first season) Morro Youga- just. BW will surpass if he keeps up recent form. Sam Hollands Stephens Bailey Hayes BWP Jackson, whilst not having a positional place in the options given, would be a cert in most instances and is my team captain!

Elliot Richardson Dailly Morrison Youga Sam Hollands Stephens Bailey Burton BWP For me Bailey gets the nod over JJ but it was a close call (and I did consider JJ at LB). Who was going to partner Morrison at CB was really the only tough decision for me. Hamer and Solly miss out but if they keep up the performances they will be in by the end of the season and Sam gets the nod of Waggy as I'm not sold on the Waggy's final ball.
