    On paper, the relegation squad is far superior... but then again, on paper, it should have been strong enough to stay in the division.

    At least our team now MOSTLY look interested in trying to play some football, they just lack the quality.

    That squad if all the players were in their prime would be amazing...in the 09 season however most were over the hill and just playing for their pay packets.

    Not many of this seasons dross would have got into the relegation teams First XI.
    That's frightening for me and just shows how poor we actually are.

    Indeed!! 'Duffer', Owen, Smith and Viduka were pretty much over the hill at that time. Undoubtedly great in their day, but that day had long since passed. Absolutely no pride in the shirt and only here for the big wages that Fat Freddy had thrown about. I would have Nolan and Barton back in a heartbeat though.
