This is how I think our next 6 games will pan out: Should get Think will get Burnley (Away) - 3 1 Chelsea (Home) - 0 0 Newcastle (Home) - 3 3 Southampton (Home) - 1 1 Sunderland (Away) - 3 1 QPR (Home) - 3 3 Now whether that'll be enough to keep us up, who knows. Sunderland have Stoke (A), Southampton (H), Everton (A), Us (H), Arsenal (A), Chelsea (A) Hull have Palace (A), Liverpool (H), Arsenal (H), Burnley (H), Spurs (A), Man Utd (H) QPR have West Ham (H), Liverpool (A), Man City (A), Newcastle (H), Us (A) Burnley have Us (H), West Ham (A), Hull (A), Stoke (H), Aston Villa (A) Oh my god, there are really too many connotations that spring up from that little lot, that I really have no idea. My heart is saying, "easy run in, beat Burnley and it's pretty much over bar the shouting" my head's saying "Hang on a minute, you've been supporting Leicester for 40 odd years, haven't you learned your lesson yet!!!" Who'd be a Leicester fan????
I think we need to do exactly what I hope Nigel's telling the players to do- take it one game at a time. Barring Chelsea, we know we can get something out of all those games. The team just need to be fearless, and we've got the personnel for that. Vardy's start against Swansea was a great example of that. The team's got plenty of competitors in it, and that could certainly pull us ahead of the north-east clubs! We need to remember that a point against Burnley isn't catastrophic, and a defeat to Chelsea isn't either.
So you think we'll lose both our away games and draw all our four home games? Are you sure you're not being a tad too optimistic?
The Chelsea game is a funny one. What I've seen of them recently I think we could certainly get a point at least, but with it coming between the Burnley and Newcastle games I reckon Pearson will be targeting at least 4 points from those two games and may be tempted to rest a player or three.
No they're not result predictions, but point predictions. It hasn't come out very well in the post. I think we should get 3 points at Burnley , but I think we'll get 1 point. So the first number is "Should get", second number is "Will probably get".
Oh I see. I thought there were a lot of 3-3 draws! I think in either scenario we'll survive. Two victories should do it - as long as we don't lose to any of our relegation rivals (Sunderland, Burnley and QPR).
Think we will need at least three wins. Without checking I think Chelsea have Arsenal next and if they win that then they wrap up the league against us so it could well be the best time to play them. Get a draw and they can go win it at their next home game. I also think a point at the weekend would be OK with more chance of winning against Newcastle, Sunderland and QPR. Hopefully by the time we play Southampton their league/Europe position will be sorted but that does look the toughest game.
W-L-D-L-W-D 8 points will probably do, especially if 6 are against our rivals. Would like to be 4 clear of QPR before the last game of the season just to be safe, would hate to haveto go into the last game needing anything.
My predictions for other teams results red = lose grey = draw green = win Sunderland have Stoke (A), Southampton (H), Everton (A), Us (H), Arsenal (A), Chelsea (A) = 29 + 4 = 33 points Hull have Palace (A), Liverpool (H), Arsenal (H), Burnley (H), Spurs (A), Man Utd (H) = 28 + 5 = 33 points QPR have West Ham (H), Liverpool (A), Man City (A), Newcastle (H), Us (A) = 26 + 7 = 33 points Burnley have Us (H), West Ham (A), Hull (A), Stoke (H), Aston Villa (A) = 26 + 5 = 31 points So by my amazingly intuitive prediction system we have 28 points + 3 when we beat QPR, we lose to Burnley & Sunderland so we need to find 3 points from the Chelsea, newacstle and southampton games. so survive by the skin on 34 points sounds friggin easy ............................... who knows ... still enjoying the rollercoaster though
Beat Burnley, lose to Chelsea, beat Newcastle, draw with Southampton, draw with Sunderland and beat QPR Happy days
W L W D W D. The Q.P.R won´t matter to us with ours, their´s, Sunderland´s, Hull´s & Burnley´s res´s between now & the end of the season.
