Who will it be? Who should it be?

Harps has been great for the last couple of years. Kicking still a bit suspect but a safe pair of hands. I thought Krul did okay in his stint, but still unsure as to wether he will make at as number 1. Then you have Foster whos been up at Celtic all season and done superbly. To hold down no.1 spot at the Scottish giants is quite a feat, regardless of how pap the league is.

I think our biggest problem in regards to the keeper spot is Foster. He is ready to be no. 1 somewhere and he will not be happy playing second fiddle, never mind third.

While Harps has been a great servent to the club i think its too much of a risk to loose Foster due to setiment. I would bring in Foster as no. 1 next season, Harps as no.2 and put Krul out on loan. Krul is less of risk as he has only just signed a new deal, where Foster only has 2 years left after this season i belive.

I still see Harps as the better keeper to be honest, but I don't want to lose Krul or Forster
If Celtic make a decent bid for Forster I wouldn't mind seeing him go - he's well liked there and he would probably become their number 1
Then have Krul as No2 like this season?

Just not sure on Krul. Hes got potential for sure but i'm still not convinced. I've seen Foster play this season and hes got a good command of the box and seems older than his 22 years. One hell of a kick too. Another clean sheet in the old firm yesterday, not bad.

I'd want to at least see Foster as no.2 to Harper next season.

Hadn't seen any of FF until the old firm game yesterday. Unfortunately I have made up my mind that he isn't good enough when he dropped the ball after a cross, and it spent about 5 seconds bobbling and bouncing off all parts of his body until he finally managed to grab it. He would be punished for that in the PL.

    Anybody else see that???

I have watched alot of FF since he has been at Celtic and yesterday was his worst game - generally he has been pretty fantastic for them and his biggest weakness (kicking) has improved vastly since being at Celtic. He should start next season as No1 by a country mile

You can't judge him after one incident!

Anyway I think Krul should be number 1, Harps back up, decent offer for Forster he can go.

Foster is a good keeper but under pressure he can make silly mistakes...his kicking is woeful!

Krul's played and had superb games in the Premiership. Higher level than Forster has played at. They've both had a few bad games. Both young. Keep both! Krul number 1 Forster number 2 for now!

Agree with this. Would be a massive pity to loose either. Time will tell what young Ole is like aswell, they could have a real battle on their hands!

However, Forster has now been playing week in week out for last 2 seasons and has actually improved on his weaknesses - unless Krul gets a run in the side between now and end of season I would rather start with Forster

I want to keep both, just saying if we had to lose one because they understandably feel they deserve to be a #1 keeper somewhere, I would rather it be Krul who went.

Harper is an excellent keeper and at the risk of sounding soft he spent years at NUFC as no 2 when frankly he could have been no 1 at another PL team, and I'm more than happy to reward such loyalty with the no1 spot given his ability.

Not sure about Krul really, I don't have the same feeling of calm when he plays that you get with Harper - I mean I'd never be worried that Harper would have an 'off' day. Would be delighted if Forster was happy to stay on as no2 but can't see it happening now he's had regular matches and could be no1 elsewhere.

If I'm honest I don't think the two backup keepers are good enough. Harper is a brilliant keeper, he's in that bracket of top keepers just below the elite of VDS and Reina and I reckon he could be number 1 at most clubs in the PL even now. Forster's kicking in dreadful and he storms of his line leaving himself in no mans land time and again. Krul is a decent keeper and is fine for back up, he makes some amazing saves but doesn't have the all-round game to be a top keeper. Harps for no.1 next season and then we need to buy a proper keeper then.

If possible, keep all, but one of Forster or Krul will be too ambitious and leave in a year or two.

Harper: Solid keeper, definitely PL standard and is better than Krul.

Krul: Some great games for us but equally some mistakes and am I the only one who just doesnt ever see him winning a one on one? Whenver a player was through on goal he would just score if he was half decent. Loan him out, if he improves substantially then consider as a starter for 2012/13 season. If possible, loan to Celtic so we get a direct comparison and we can see how they have done.

Forster: Never seen him play but is getting rave reviews and has just about won 2 league titles on the trot. My only concerns are that his worst games have been the Old Firm derbies, the only two SPL teams who would have a chance in hell in the PL. In one game he was directly at fault for a goal and today he fluffed a catch, someone said. Also entirely untested at a level higher than SPL(/Europa League?). Keep him as back up to Harper next year while Krul is on loan and if he gets a chance then decide if he is better than Harper.

End of next season, thank Harper for his services and decide once and for all who is better, Krul or Forster? Then probably have to sell one as their ambitions will be more than Harpers have been. Promote Soderberg to 2nd choice or get Harper to stay on as cover or sign someone as cover, or even keep one as cover if they will stay.

Tough call this one. Krul wasn't as consistent as i'd have liked when he had his chance this season, so i'd like Forster to be given a shot as backup with Harper continuing as number one for another season. Krul to go out on loan. Don't think either of Krul/Forster are ready to step up yet.
