Does anyone else think we could be doing much better were we not playing this new formation. I can't help but think that most of the goals we have conceded have come from defensive mistakes - so why persist with a weakened defensive formation, at least until we have strengthened our squad. Also, we are buying in players who (apart from LVP and Blind) haven't played in LVG's magic formation either, so how do we know they can adapt. It seems to me that with only one or two changes to the current squad we would have much better strength and attacking capabilities in a more traditional formation, so why is LVG so stubborn in persisting with this new formation and not even trying something different at different stages of the game. I just worry that we are buying quality players but won't be able to get the best out of them by persisting with this formation. If it was that good, it would be commonplace, but it isn't.
