I see Shane came out best vs Sammy when Brum played Boro today. Fergie set up the winning goal before bring subbed off.

Also, Paul Dummett & Conor Newton are due to play for St Mirren in he Scottish League Cup zi sol tomorrow.

Much better for them to playing first team football than in the reserves. Keeps them on their toes a bit more and adds experience and confidence.

Good to see our 2 loan players Connor Newton and Paul Dummett pick up Scottish Cup winners medals today. On top of that young Connor scored the winner. Hopefully the experience will stand them in good stead for next year.

Players I'm not sure will make it above championship level, but they do have talent. Happy for them, and happy the youth system are so tight knit. Sammy and Fergie tweeted them well wishes I believe!

Paul Dummett / Conor Newton (St. Mirren).

Cup glory for the Magpies duo on Sunday, as they helped St.Mirren collect their first silverware in a quarter of a century, beating Hearts 3-2 at Hampden Park to lift the Scottish League Cup.

Having provided an earlier assist, Newton then scored his first-ever senior goal with a well-struck shot to put the Saints 3-1 ahead.

They both played the full game before collecting their deserved winners' medals and returning to Paisley for a nocturnal open top bus celebration tour.

Nice to see them getting something for their efforts and hopefully it wont be too long before they're picking something up with us.

Was at the game yesterday, I didn't see the other one. Maybe have it deleted or merged.
