He just says what he wants us to hear. I can't believe people pay this nonsense so much respect.

A year ago it was all about how he was going to sell. That was the threat. No one really believed him or, more importantly, cared.

Now he needs a new threat. It's come up again, he's not getting his own way again and he needs a new threat. Well he'll sell us to someone 'even worse'.

How would he even know what a bad owner looks like? This is a guy that genuinely thinks he's ace and that Adam Pearson was a ****. He's completely out of touch with other chairman. Basically he knows **** all.

He's just desperate to be loved, respected, or even just noticed and listened to. He really wants us to care and be scared of a new owner. This talk of selling to a good home was always utter bollocks. He was never going to sell before the arbitration decision and he still won't sell until the whole thing is done.

I wouldn't put it past him to try and **** something up for us on his way out once he finally accepts his name change thing isn't happening ever, but we can't live in fear of him and this kind of bullying.

That's not how journalism works. Burns and his team, more likely his managers, have realised the angst ridden noisy protesting minority will promote anything that seems to be Anti Allam, thus making their job of advertising their products much easier.

Why appeal to be people that actually couldn't give a **** one way or the other, even if they are the huge silent majority? They're unlikely to even read or listen to stuff.

There's no mileage in those of us who appreciate what the owners are doing, we're not the ones with the axe to grind.

The group led by ex militants, *ex lads* and ex protesters, who are desperate to be going up against "the man" again, are a much more attractive group to appeal to, and easier to use too for listening and viewing figure increases. Plus of course, retweets.

according to his own cv - he fled Egypt in 1968 - also he completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration in 1968, so still felt comfortable enough in Egypt to allow him the freedom to sit and pass his exams - he was also Senior Auditor for Egyptian Ministry of Finance in 1968 - he was imprisoned and tortured and then fled in 1968 - doesn't look as if he's quite got his story timelines sorted out - just look at my cv - we are - it appears you had a very busy couple of months in the summer of 68 - pass exams, get job, speak out, get imprisoned, get tortured, get released, escape to England - all in 8 weeks or so - we're impressed!!

So, you know how BBC journalism works do you? Your second sentence, indeed all of it suggests you really, REALLY don't. I haven't time today to go into it on here, but I am more than happy to put you right about the editorial process if you wish via PM? If anything, arguably they have treated Mr. Allam with kid gloves - and again, I have from experience, a very good idea as to why this is so. I am happy to share that with you - but I'm not getting into it on here, I just haven't the time for further replies to anyone else.

Whilst I am here, just a small point! You do know that Mr. Allam is not a Doctor of Philosophy, Law or Letters etc don't you? He doesn't hold a PhD. It's a honorary title/gift that is not to be used outside of the context from which it was given. He would never or should never be presented or addressed as Dr. Allam. In any formal gathering or speech, it would be announced that he was given an honorary doctorate as a mark of his public achievements or support for some cause, he would not be called Dr. Allam. Speaking as someone who is completing one and knows how much work it takes, it is really bloody annoying.

Cheers Lincs, and yes I do know how the media works. I certainly don't believe the BBC is the bastion of impartiality it once was, nor do I think it's the home of the cream of available presenters, commentators and researchers that it once was either.

They get no end of **** in the way they deal with the issues surrounding our club, from that vocal minority, it doesn't take a massive leap to realise push their luck slightly with the owners, get the information out there (with some retractions) and their stock, at least locally, will rise.

I'm sorry you feel slighted by my referring to him as Dr. It's just a useful way to differeniate between him and Ehab. No one else seems to like using their names on here so its just easier to type Dr than Mr. As this is not a formal gathering, nor am I making formal speeches, I really don't see the problem. I think a bigger reason to get annoyed is reading peoples views who are denying what he went through before he came over here in their continual efforts to deride him. People who wouldn't know adversity if it came up and smacked them in their stupid, small minded, parochial faces.
