What a weekend for our boys to show why Britannia rules the world. We won the F1 beating a German. And we beat Spain twice in two days. Hamilton laughing at Alonso and the England football team laughing at the massively over-hyped Spanish bottlers. Makes you feel proud. Well done to our boys, what a weekend to show it.
Lets start with the football. Brittania? I must have been watching the wrong match. Were Spain playing Britain? England football team laughing at some of the most decorated players on the globe? Im sure Spain will find all the comfort they need for a defeat in a meaningless friendly in their Euro08 and WC2010 medals. Hamilton won the grand prix and well done but he didn't beat a German (Vettel). If he had passed him for the win or if Vettel had finished the race then you could say he beat him but no, he just took advantage of a rare piece of bad luck for Vettel (probably his first all season the lucky git). Who was laughing at Alonso? Alonso's performance was superb in that Ferrari. Are you living back in 2008? in case you didn't notice the two drivers have been getting on much better of late. If they can put it behind them why cant you.
Good weekend for British sport yeah, With what you said and Di Resta, Button and Wales also performing.
Jacky, as you are Irish you are part of our Empire so you too can allow yourself to bask in some reflected glory. Spain's international record is dire. The Spanish team have been lucky. Their players mostly play in La Liga which is a dire league. How rubbish did Villa look when he had to contend with proper defenders. And Vettel only had himself to blame. He hit the curb too hard, bad driving. He felt the pressure with the mighty Hamilton behind him.
Jacky, where the WUM is that? Fact: Spain have been known to be perrenial underachievers in world football. It's only because England and Brazil have bad teams at the moment that they've won. It won't last. And Vettel did hit the curb which caused his puncture. He knew that the red bull was only marginally quicker than the Mcclaren but Hamilton's superior skills would make up for that.
I think you will find, if you dont finish the race and the other guy does, then he did in fact beat you, or is this some other form of racing I dont know about ?? and pretty sure if your ahead and the other guys goes past you thats a pass, or again is this some other form of racing that I don# know abou?
What Lewis did yersterday was what Sebastian Vetel always does. Get the gap, and maintain it, allowing him to look after his tyres and engine modes, so he's got something in reserve for when the guys behind go faster. We saw this. every time Alonso sped up, so did Hamilton. Thats not to say that Alonso didn't drive really well. There's no way that Ferrari should be capable of that pace without a brilliant driver behind the wheel.
