With a fully fit squad, what does everybody think is our current best XI?

    I'd go for:

    ----------Hamer----------
    Solly----Cort--Morrison----Wiggins
    ----------Frimpong---------------
    Green-------------- Jackson------
    ---------Stephens----------------
    -------Haynes---Kermorgant------

Hard to show it visually, but formation is a 4-4-2 with Frimpong at the base of the midfield, Green on the wing, Jackson a central-left mid, and Stephens as the advanced playmaker.

Toss up between Green and Wilson. Green is more dangerous attacker. Wilson more solid. Green maybe as impact sub. I've never seen Harriott but we have absolutely nothing on the left. Jacko not up to this level although slightly better of late, Cook is crap and Kerkar is just plain odd. January priority.

Why dervite over cort? He would have been in top 3 of POTY so far. Maybe on borrowed time slightly, but he had been a man mountain in many of the games I've seen. Is it a matter of dervite being younger, as well as being good?

Think Dervite looks more mobile and probably better on the deck than Cort but its a close call. Cort has been superb.

People will probably disagree but I think Dervite is more of a liability. Quite often I've seen him miss the easiest blocks/let the ball roll past him when he should really pick up on it. He also has a strange habit of getting in front of strikers when the ball comes towards them, its effective when it works, but I feel its only a matter of time before he mis-reads a long ball and allows the striker to get one-on-one with Hamer.

    My personal best XI

    GK - Hamer
    RB - Solly
    CB - Morrison
    CB - Cort
    LB - Wiggins
    CM - Wilson
    CM - Stephens
    CM - Jackson
    CAM/CF - Kermit
    ST - Haynes
    ST - Fuller

Tbh I don't think frimpong is much better then what we have from what I've seen, and green is just too inconsistent, so I've opted for a 4-3-1-2 <ok>

You are right, SuperC, Cort has been superb this season. But I still prefer the look of Dervite when it comes to playing out from the back. He reminds me of a libero, a player who can bring the ball out from defence and play all manner of passes to the midfield and beyond. He looks cultured, unhurried and silky smooth.

Having said that, when it comes to aerial bombardment I would probably plump for Cort.

It was a tough decision but, ultimately, I picked a side that would play the more attractive style of football.

    Hamer
    Solly, Cort, Morro, Wiggins
    Stephens, Frimpong, Jackson
    Wilson, Fuller, Haynes

Id start with 4-3-3 but it can flex in to 4-5-1 or 4-4-2
Subs: Button, Dervite, Pritchard, Green, Kermorgant, Hulse, Wright Phillips

and to think there is still, Sullivan, Evina, Hollands, Harriot and others. We actually have quite a strong squad.

You are all disqualified except Haysey Addict for including Frimpong and Wiggins in the same team. By the time Wiggins is back, Frimpong will have gone. Well, I suppose they could overlap for a couple of matches if CP throws Wiggins straight into the fray, but the manner of Seaborne's extension, week to week, suggests it has been done specifically so that we don't have to hurry Wiggins back.
