I reckon Paul Cooper would be an improvement on what you have now (as would Butcher/Osman/Mills/Mariner/Muhren/Thyssen/Burley/Beattie and of course the great man you are named after.

Personally i prefered Alexander but both very good keepers for us and 10 billion times better than Henderson. If he's a professional keeper then I think I could be aswell.

I agree I thought Alexander was the best GK overall than anyone since I've been watching ITFC!! Although Davis is good, I always described him as the Shay Given of the Championship, very reliable shot stopper but not a dominant GK!!

Alexander's height prevents him ever being a top goalkeeper. First of the 21st century so far would always be Wrighty, then Davis, then perhaps Alexander.

I'm sure Paul Cooper was a total short-arse for a GK

height has never stopped shay given being a wonderful goal keeper but the one problem they do have is they struggle to dominate their area. given is one of the best keepers of the last 20 years though so its not done him any harm

I can see where height can come into account for GK's especially coming out for crosses etc, but there have been some very good shorter keepers!!

I always thought Lewis Price got the nod ahead of Shane Supple due to his height, as Supple was pretty short for a GK but he certainly had more ability than Price!! I think the same goes for CB's and sometimes fullbacks there are some players who I think are much better defenders/players but due to their lack of height someone taller more bulky gets in. I always thought if Bruce bulked up and was a bit taller he would be a very good CB but I also think due to his physical attributes Delaney was played there when his best position was probably on the bench!!

you must be surprised by delaney's performances for palace then! been outstanding by all accounts, even scoring a few goals. i'm told he's never suffered a defeat in a palace shirt <ok>
