    The options:

The Seasoned Scythers: Kisnorbo and O'Brien. Worked well at Leicester, but there's always the risk of their legs falling off and pace subsequently being lost.

The Nubile Newbies: Lees and O'Dea. Both of them should be available at Turf Moor and have added a bit of energy to proceedings.

The Commanding Couplet: Kisnorbo and Lees. Both decent in the air and strong in the tackle.

The O' Twins: O'Brien and O'Dea. Irish Whites, look no further, but expect individual errors aplenty.

The Hazardous Hatchetmen: Kisnorbo and O'Dea. Both really chuck themselves into the tackle at times and risk breaking opposition players' bones and - worse - being sent off. But is that the sort of passion we need in the middle of our defence after a poor overall start?

Of course, there's also the option of deploying Bromby and Bruce, but I don't think we're as suicically, head-bangingly desperate as that yet.

For me, it's got to be the Commanders. Paddy looked well up for his return on Sunday and I think him and Lees are looking like they might be the right partnership for us. Lees gets a senior partner; Paddy gets a lively young centre-back next to him who can do the required mopping up of stray balls and opponents' blood.

pretty much agree with your closing statement. I still think i would class O'dear as a liability but everything else i tend to agree with

    Kissa and Lees <ok>

Lets hope O'Brien can get a good run of form going and push them for a place, or O'Dea but as he is only a loanee I would prefer to see AOB earning his crust

Has to be Kissa and Lees. Though Lees is good in the air, he hasn't got the height that Kissa has. Kissa's positioning is good, and he is quicker then O'Brien, sayin that Harte would be quicker then AOB

Definitely Kissa and Lees. AOB as backup for Kissa and DOD as back up for Lees.

kissa's only 6,2 & Lees makes more than up for his lack of height with his jump. To be honest I would probably get Lees to pick up the bigger striker in the box!

Morning 18. I'd start a game with Kisnorbo & Lees, & then bring on AOB or O'Dea depending on who we keep beyond the January window. Lees is the future. Kisnorbo/AOB/possibly O'Dea if we keep him are collective wise heads & teachers for Lees. Not quite sure now where all of this leaves Bruce & Bromby, especially if Lees gets injured or suspended. Neither of the teachers are particularly quick, whereas Bruce/Bromby by comparison are.

Good that we've got options at CB, but I'd like to see Bruce go out on loan to keep him fit & help him push for a starting place. End of the season, SG needs to take a decision on which 4 or possibly 5 from 6 remain in the club & who moves on. He also needs to think about who the next Lees from the Academy will be & introduce him somewhere next season before going on loan to continue his development.

I think it's time for Bruce and Bromby to go, I like Bromby but with 4 players ahead of him will he really get a proper chance?

Bromby may wear the shirt again but I cant see Bruce getting another game for us.

Bucks/Simon, you might be right. Best thing for Bruce is to go out on loan. Almost no chance of him getting a game for Leeds at the moment. He needs to keep fit & show what he can do. As I say, no chance of him doing that in a game situation, even if he does play in bcd games.

    Morning all by the way
