What do you think our back 4 will be next season?

I think Simpson/Colo will stay in but (hope) we will sign another centre back to partner Colo and with Enrique 99.9% that he is guna leave we will need another left back

Trying to think inside of Pardew's head and we will probably sign to unknowns and hope they end up like Cheik Tiote. I hope we don't sign Paul ****in Konchesky! lol

I personally wud luk 2 try and bring in Wes Brown - Iv always liked him and he is a solid centre back and can play right back. He has experience and think we cud get him on the cheap. Wud only want him if he can prove his fitness tho! and wud take a wage cut

As for a left back I think Emilio Izaguirre wud be a very good signing, he has done brilliant at Celtic and even tho Scottish league is **** - I can honestly see him bein a big hit in the Prem

    I'd like to see:

    New RB - Samba/Taylor/Johnson - Colo/Johnson/Samba - Enrique

Colo + Samba or Johnson, or Samba and Johnson if we could get both. Or Colo and Taylor if we don't sign anyone.

No to Wes Brown. Not within our transfer policy of a young player anyway.

Simmo Colo Samba Enrique would be my ideal back four next season. Not really sure of who to sign next year as a replacement for Enrique if he does leave.

I wud honestly stik with Simpson - I undastand tht he is not class but dnt think it worth forkin out gud muny for another RB, he is solid and never really puts a foot wrong IMO

Is tht Roger Johnson? I wud agree tht hed be a quality signing and wud compliment Colo well. Samba is just a dream I think lol. Plus, an English CB wud make me feel mor comfortable lol

I think Wes Brown's out of contract in the summer.
I'd definitely like to see a new CB and Samba would be a cracking signing.

Keep Simpson and Colo. I think Jose will leave, meaning we need a new left back. I also think a new centre back will be brought in. Steven Taylor hasn't been convincing since he came back from injury. Although that could be down to lack of games.

    Then we'd have:

RB: Simpson (1st choice) & R Taylor (cover) (not great but adequate back up)
CB: Colo & S Taylor (cover)
CB: NEW CB & Williamson (cover)
LB: NEW LB & Kadar (cover).

Sounds like a plan. Wont happen tho. Plus if he Porto's star defender then they wudnt sell I dnt think. Wasnt Carvalho/Ferreira about £20m each when they went 2 Chelsea frm Porto. Nt sure if they r in need 2 sell

If we can keep Jose then all we need in the summer is another CB with maybe a RB joining the year after

The way he's stepped up this year has suprised most of us and i'd really like him to keep on getting better. I think he's a good player but i'm not sure that (if the master plan works out) if we're challenging for Europe places he's at that level yet

Ano ye, but defo deservs next season to show wat he can do

If ya look at Everton who challenge for Europe most seasons, they hav Tony Hibbert who is an average right back, but gets stuk in well and that. Wudnt be 2 botherd if Simpson stayd 1st choice for years 2 cum

But yeah, if we get in Europe next year then Vedran Corluka ;)

Yeah i'd be happy enough with Simpson but if a better RB is available at a good price we should go for it. He can be improved on easily enough.

And yeah Roger Johnson is a class CB, brilliant player. I said the other day a double swoop for him and Dann would be brilliant.

    Simmo - Samba - Colo - Jose

I'm going with the majority on this. Samba as the perfect partner for Colo, keep Simpson as he's doing a fine job at the minute in my opinion. A new RB isn't top priority really.
