This week I'll be coming home after living abroad for the last 47 years. I was in the Army and then remained in Germany after I got out. I always arranged my leave to get in a couple of home games on consecutive saturdays or a nearby away game like Hull, Boro or Preston. I've never been to a derby though. Now that I'll be back living in Sunderland for good you will see me on the attendance figures each game. If the attendance was 40,000 it will now be 40,001 and that's me.
Make that 40,002 ....... I've returned to the UK and will get to twice the matches I used to from abroad. I'm off to Birmingham on Wednesday which would've been out of the question from 1000 miles away.
Good on ya Farley... Smug...I'm going over this morning from my Birmingham tickets..I will give you a text once I know more about travel arrangements..
Champion, we'll be over quite early and eating/drinking away from the ground. Birmingham is one of those clubs stuck in the 70's and there's always the chance of a bit of trouble.
Never been the most friendly of places and seeing as i will have my two lads with me I will be on my guard..
I'm not going to Birmingham like. Spurs at home? If I've got drink and train money that is otherwise it's getting there last minute in my mates dog-hair-mobile.
This message is (1) why I love this club (2) why I love the people (most of you) on this forum. Class mate. Totally class
BBC sport said there was 43,000 there today but there was more than that, unless Man u only brought about 1000. it was the fullest I have seen for a long time. And what is with the new spotlights !, strange that.
