I've been thinking about our squad and I've compiled, what I think would be our squad at present. I've marked the players I think need replacing with a £ sign, home grown players as HG and players who don't need to be registered due to age with as U21. I've listed two players for every position, given that I've listed three U21 players in the first 22 that would leaves 5 players for extra cover. Goalkeppers. 1. I am left with 6 players(minimum) I think need replacing, Rodgers was quoted saying he thinks we need 5 more players. What do you think? What would your squad be? Who would you bring in?
Dobbie and Beattie are Scottish and therefore count as non-domestic players. I think we are permitted a maximum of 10 non-domestic players on the 25 man squad. Are the Prem rules different from the Chsmpionship. By my count there are 9 non-dojestic players on your list. Pinrado's contract status ???

Players like Jazz, Lee Lucas, Alfei as they are home grown and under 21, don't take a place in the 25? If I'm wrong then obviously I've included more than 25 players. and obviously if i'm right then the spaces could be filled with Senna / Cork in midfield.

We could build a very good squad if we signed five players to round out the numbers and left MacDonald, Pintado, Harley and Donnelly unregistered for the season ahead (and loaned them out). I'd get Jason Brown, Caulker (U21), David Mirfin, Patrick van Aanholt (U21), Tom Cruise (U21), Shaleum Logan, Seb Larsson, and Danny Webber as the final members of our 25. Two loans, six free transfers and I feel we'd have a good shot at staying up. Of course if Senna does sign then I'd unregister Orlandi to accommodate him
Chris ... thanks for the clarification. If Senna signs why would you need to release Orlandi since we only have 9 non-HG players in your list - and our U21 players don't count in the 25 (am I understanding correctly). Also, report on Sky's transfer center this morning suggests that Donnelly is heading back to Wycombe.
Unregister, not release but yes with the other signings I'd highlighted it would put us at 26 so one would have to miss out on a year in the Premier League. Senna coming in means one person would then have to miss out and it's centre mid for centre mid in my book and Orlandi/Bodde is the choice depending on fitness. I'd play Bodde for August and see if he holds up - if things go well then Orlandi misses out, if he breaks down then give Orlandi the squad place instead.
