if my dad was beating my sister, Id be part of that private life......... and NO I wouldnt want you to know. What gives you the right to know MY private business?.. or ANY private business for that matter?
****ing bright spark!

If your dad is beating your sister, post it on here, we'll all pile round and twat him (your sister will be grateful, even if you're not).

Not really on point, but when did it become more of an issue that a man punches a woman and not the other way around? I know plenty of guys who've been slapped, kicked or punched (in the nether regions) and were told to stop being pussies (one of them ended up with a broken eye socket). Yet if they had retaliated they'd have been locked up.

Is it to do with the fact that men are stronger (on average) and it's unfair? Admittedly I don't know the law inside out so I couldn't tell you what it says, but it always seemed more of a courtesy/social thing than a legal issue?

Just leave her, mate.

Good point. The last time I was punched it was by a woman. Saturday night in town, walking past Tower, two "girls" were fighting as a Police paddy wagon came round the corner. I said "I should knock it off girls if you don't want a night in the cells" one stepped back and the other punched me in the mouth! I walked on. I'm 6'4" and (at that time) 16 stone. I know who would have been in the cells If I'd stopped.

Well there you go. Thing is, if you'd pressed charges they'd have been arrested for assault, but from a social standpoint if you'd have punched one of them it would have been ten times worse. I've been cold-cocked by a husky bird from Witham, even with all that heroin withdrawal in her shaking hands, it still ****ing hurts.

<laugh>

While my better half is from deepest darkest Glasgow and is more than capable of battering people twice her size, she is at least very placid while at home. She's a dab hand with grouting as well, which is a nice bonus.

Mine's not allowed back in Cyprus, but that's another story. Weirdly, she's also good at grouting. Maybe there's a link?
